Setup: Initial Configuration
Before using your watch, it is recommended to set the current time and date.
1. Setting Time and Date
- In normal time display mode, press the MODE button repeatedly until the seconds begin to flash. This indicates you are in time setting mode.
- Press the RESET button to cycle through the settings: seconds, hour, minute, month, date, day of week.
- While a value is flashing, press the START-STOP button to adjust the value. Hold the button to advance rapidly.
- After setting all desired values, press the MODE button to exit the setting mode and return to normal time display.
Note: The watch supports both 12-hour (AM/PM) and 24-hour (military) time formats. This can typically be toggled during the hour setting by pressing the START-STOP button when the hour is flashing.
Operating Modes
Your Armitron watch offers several functions accessible via the MODE button.
1. Chronograph (Stopwatch)
- From normal time display, press MODE once to enter Chronograph mode. The display will show "00:00:00".
- Press START-STOP to begin timing.
- Press START-STOP again to pause timing. Press again to resume.
- To record a lap time while the chronograph is running, press RESET. The lap time will display for a few seconds before returning to the running chronograph.
- To reset the chronograph to zero, ensure it is stopped, then press RESET.
- Press MODE to exit Chronograph mode.
2. Alarm
- From normal time display, press MODE twice to enter Alarm mode. The alarm time will be displayed.
- Press RESET to select the hour or minute to set. The selected value will flash.
- Press START-STOP to adjust the flashing value.
- To activate/deactivate the alarm, press START-STOP while in Alarm mode (without any value flashing). An alarm icon will appear/disappear.
- To activate/deactivate the hourly chime, press RESET while in Alarm mode (without any value flashing). A chime icon will appear/disappear.
- Press MODE to exit Alarm mode.
3. Dual Time
- From normal time display, press MODE three times to enter Dual Time mode.
- To set the dual time, press RESET to select the hour or minute.
- Press START-STOP to adjust the flashing value.
- Press MODE to exit Dual Time mode.
4. Backlight
- Press the LIGHT button (usually top right) to illuminate the display for a few seconds.
Maintenance
1. Water Resistance
Your Armitron watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet). This rating means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming. It is not suitable for diving or snorkeling. Avoid pressing buttons while the watch is submerged in water to prevent water ingress.

2. Battery Replacement
The watch uses a product-specific battery. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

3. Cleaning and Care
To clean your watch, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish. Store your watch in a dry place away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
