1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Deerma VC20 Plus Wireless Vacuum Cleaner. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use and retain it for future reference.

The Deerma VC20 Plus is a lightweight, wireless vacuum cleaner designed for versatile cleaning tasks in both domestic and light commercial environments. It features strong suction power, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and a large capacity dust tank for convenient cleaning.

2. Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always observe basic safety precautions when using an electrical appliance. This includes:

  • Ensure the power adapter is compatible with your local power supply.
  • Do not use the vacuum cleaner outdoors or on wet surfaces.
  • Do not allow children to operate the vacuum cleaner. Supervise children and pets when the appliance is in use.
  • Do not pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
  • Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
  • Do not use without the dust cup and filters in place.
  • Turn off the appliance before connecting or disconnecting the battery pack, or before performing any maintenance.
  • Use only manufacturer-recommended attachments.
  • Store the vacuum cleaner indoors in a dry place.

4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your Deerma VC20 Plus Wireless Vacuum Cleaner:

  1. Charge the Battery: Before first use, fully charge the vacuum cleaner. Connect the power adapter to the main machine and plug it into a power outlet. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
  2. Assemble the Main Unit:
    • Attach the extension tube to the main machine by aligning the connectors and pushing until it clicks into place.
    • Attach the desired cleaning head (Floor Brush, 2-in-1 Head, or Edge Cleaning Brush) to the other end of the extension tube or directly to the main machine for handheld use. Ensure it clicks securely.

5. Operating Instructions

The Deerma VC20 Plus offers flexible cleaning modes for various surfaces.

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the power button located on the main machine to turn the vacuum cleaner on.
  • Press the power button again to turn it off.

5.2 Cleaning Modes

The vacuum cleaner can be used in two primary modes:

  • Upright Stick Mode: For cleaning floors and larger areas. Attach the extension tube and floor brush.
  • Handheld Mode: For cleaning furniture, car interiors, curtains, or hard-to-reach spots. Use the main machine directly with the 2-in-1 head or edge cleaning brush.

5.3 Effective Cleaning Tips

  • For floors, use the floor brush attachment. Its rotating brush helps pick up fine dust and debris.
  • For crevices and tight spaces, use the 2-in-1 head in crevice tool configuration.
  • For upholstery and delicate surfaces, use the 2-in-1 head with the brush extended.
  • The lightweight design allows for easy cleaning of high areas like ceilings and curtains.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner.

6.1 Emptying the Dust Cup

  • When the dust cup is full, or suction power decreases, empty it.
  • Detach the dust cup from the main machine.
  • Open the dust cup and dispose of the collected debris into a waste bin.
  • Reattach the dust cup securely.

6.2 Cleaning the Filters

The Deerma VC20 Plus features a HEPA filter and a microporous cyclone filter, both of which are reusable and washable.

  1. Remove the dust cup and then carefully remove the internal filters (HEPA and cyclone filter).
  2. Rinse both filters under running water until clean. Do not use detergents.
  3. Allow the filters to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting them. Ensure they are completely dry to prevent damage to the motor.
  4. Reassemble the filters and dust cup into the main machine.

6.3 Cleaning the Floor Brush

  • Periodically check the floor brush for tangled hair or debris.
  • Remove the brush roll from the floor brush head (refer to the diagram in Figure 6.3 for guidance).
  • Use scissors or a cleaning tool to cut and remove any tangled hair or fibers.
  • Reinsert the brush roll securely.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Deerma VC20 Plus, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
