Setup

Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the toy phone.
2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

Note: Always use new batteries and dispose of old batteries responsibly.

Power On/Off and Volume Control

• On the back of the toy phone, locate the switch labeled "OFF LO HI".
• Slide the switch to the "LO" position for low volume or "HI" for high volume to turn the device on.
• To turn the device off, slide the switch to the "OFF" position.

Operating Instructions

The eKids Spidey Toy Phone features three distinct play modes, accessible via the mode selection buttons at the bottom of the screen. The Spidey eyes light up during use, adding to the interactive experience.

Play Modes

1. Numbers Mode (1-2-3 Button):
   Press the '1-2-3' button to activate Numbers Mode. In this mode, pressing the numbered character buttons (1-9, 0) will announce the corresponding number, aiding in counting and number recognition.
2. Phone Mode (Phone Icon Button):
   Select Phone Mode by pressing the phone icon button. In this mode, pressing the numbered character buttons simulates making calls to different Spidey characters, triggering unique phrases and sound effects. The camera button will make a fun camera sound, and the message button will play a message.
3. Adventure Mode (Spidey & Friends Icon Button):
   Choose Adventure Mode by pressing the Spidey & Friends icon button. This mode encourages imaginative play by allowing children to build their own short stories. Pressing different character buttons will trigger story prompts or character interactions, fostering creativity.

Additional Buttons

• Camera Button: Located below the '7' button, pressing this button produces a camera shutter sound.
• Message Button: Located below the '9' button, pressing this button plays a short message from a character.
• Main Spidey Button: The large Spidey icon button at the very bottom of the phone activates various Spidey phrases and sound effects, regardless of the selected play mode.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the toy phone with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
• Battery Care: Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage. Ensure the battery compartment is always securely closed.
• Storage: Store the toy phone in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

• No Sound/Lights: Check if the power/volume switch is in the "OFF" position. Ensure batteries are correctly installed and are not depleted. Replace batteries if necessary.
• Intermittent Functionality: This may indicate low battery power. Replace batteries.
