Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your UBOTIE Portable Bluetooth Colorful Computer Keyboard. Please read this manual thoroughly before using your new keyboard to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
The UBOTIE keyboard requires two (2) AAA batteries for operation. Batteries are not included with the product. Follow these steps to install the batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard.
- Gently slide open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Bluetooth Pairing
The UBOTIE keyboard supports stable Bluetooth connection technology with a 10-meter range. It offers multiple Bluetooth channels (BT1, BT2, BT3) to connect to various devices simultaneously.
- Turn on the keyboard using the On/Off switch located on the top right side.
- Press and hold the Fn + C keys for 2 seconds. The battery indicator light will start flashing, indicating the keyboard is in pairing mode.
- On your computer, tablet, or smartphone, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "UBOTIE" from the list of found devices to pair and connect.
- Once connected, the indicator light will stop flashing.

3. System Compatibility Selection
After pairing, select the appropriate operating system mode for optimal key functionality:
- For Android devices: Press Fn + Q
- For Windows devices: Press Fn + W
- For iOS/Mac devices: Press Fn + E
Press the corresponding key combination for approximately 1 second.

Operating Instructions
1. Basic Usage
Once connected, the keyboard functions like a standard QWERTY keyboard. The round keycaps provide a retro typewriter feel.

2. Multimedia Functions
Use the Fn key in combination with the F-keys (F1-F12) to access multimedia and system functions. The specific functions may vary slightly depending on your operating system.
- Fn + F1-F12: Control media playback, volume, screen lock, etc. (Refer to the small icons on the F-keys for specific functions).
3. Switching Bluetooth Channels
The keyboard can be paired with up to three devices. To switch between connected devices:
- Press Fn + 1 to switch to Bluetooth Channel 1.
- Press Fn + 2 to switch to Bluetooth Channel 2.
- Press Fn + 3 to switch to Bluetooth Channel 3.
This allows for quick switching between your PC, laptop, or mobile devices.
4. Auto-Sleep Function
To conserve battery life, the keyboard features an auto-sleep function. If there is no activity for 15 minutes, the keyboard will automatically enter sleep mode. To wake it up, simply press any key.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Keyboard
To maintain the keyboard's appearance and functionality, regular cleaning is recommended. The round keycaps can be easily removed for thorough cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the keyboard.
- For cleaning between keys, a small brush or compressed air can be used.
- To clean under the keycaps, gently pull them off. Clean the keyboard base and the underside of the keycaps with a soft cloth or brush. Reattach the keycaps by pressing them firmly into place.

2. Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator light starts flashing red, it signifies low battery. Replace both AAA batteries promptly to ensure uninterrupted use. Always use new, high-quality AAA batteries from reputable manufacturers.
Troubleshooting
1. Keyboard Not Connecting/Frequent Disconnections
- Check Batteries: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Re-pair Device: Delete the keyboard from your device's Bluetooth list and repeat the pairing process (Fn + C, then Fn + Q/W/E).
- System Compatibility: Verify that you have selected the correct operating system mode (Fn + Q for Android, Fn + W for Windows, Fn + E for iOS).
- Interference: Bluetooth signals can be affected by other wireless devices. Try moving the keyboard closer to your device or away from potential sources of interference.
- Update Drivers: Ensure your computer's Bluetooth drivers are up to date.
2. Keys Not Responding or Lagging
- Battery Level: Low batteries can cause keys to become unresponsive or lag. Replace batteries.
- Clean Keys: Dust or debris under the keycaps can affect performance. Clean the keyboard as described in the Maintenance section.
- Reconnection: If the keyboard has gone into auto-sleep mode, press any key to wake it up. Allow a few seconds for it to reconnect.
3. Auto-Sleep Too Aggressive
The keyboard is designed to enter auto-sleep after 15 minutes of inactivity. This setting is fixed to conserve battery. To prevent it from sleeping, ensure continuous usage or press a key periodically.
