2. Safety Information
Your safety is paramount. Always adhere to the following guidelines:
- Proper Fit: Ensure the helmet fits snugly and comfortably. It should not move freely on your head.
- Retention System: Always fasten the Microlock retention system securely under your chin. The strap should be tight enough so that the helmet cannot be pulled off your head.
- Visor Use: Always ride with the visor down to protect your eyes from debris and wind.
- Impact Protection: A helmet is designed to absorb impact by partial destruction of the shell and/or liner. Even if there is no visible damage, a helmet that has sustained an impact should be replaced.
- No Modifications: Never modify your helmet in any way. This includes drilling holes, cutting the shell, or altering the retention system. Such actions can compromise the helmet's protective capabilities.
- Chemicals: Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning fluids, paints, or other solvents, as they can damage the helmet materials.

4. Setup
4.1 Initial Fit and Adjustment
- Putting on the Helmet: Hold the helmet by the chin straps and pull them apart. Place the helmet on your head, ensuring it covers your forehead.
- Securing the Microlock Retention System: Insert the ribbed tab into the buckle until you hear clicks. Pull the strap to ensure it is snug under your chin. To release, lift the red lever and pull the ribbed tab out.
- Checking Fit: The helmet should feel snug around your cheeks and crown. It should not move when you shake your head. If it moves, consider a smaller size or adjusting the cheek pads if possible.
4.2 Visor and VPS Sunscreen Adjustment
- Main Visor: The ultrawide visor can be opened and closed by lifting or lowering it from the tab located at the bottom center. It features multiple detent positions.
- VPS Sunscreen: The internal VPS sunscreen is operated by a slider mechanism, typically located on the left side of the helmet. Slide it down to deploy the sunscreen and up to retract it.

5. Operating the Helmet
5.1 Ventilation System
The "Airbooster Technology" upper ventilation system is designed to optimize airflow. Locate the vents on the top of the helmet and the chin bar. These can typically be opened or closed by sliding small levers or pushing buttons to control the air intake and exhaust, providing comfort during your ride.
5.2 Visor Removal and Installation
For cleaning or replacement, the main visor can be removed. Consult the specific instructions provided with your helmet for the exact mechanism, as it may vary slightly. Generally, it involves pressing a release button or lever near the visor's pivot point on both sides and then detaching the visor. Reinstallation is the reverse process, ensuring the visor clicks securely into place.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your helmet and ensure its protective capabilities.
6.1 Cleaning the Shell
Clean the helmet shell with a soft cloth and mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Rinse thoroughly and air dry.
6.2 Cleaning the Visor and VPS Sunscreen
Use only clean water and a soft cloth to clean the visor and VPS sunscreen. For stubborn dirt, a specialized helmet visor cleaner can be used. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals. Allow to air dry.
6.3 Cleaning the Inner Padding
The "Climacomfort" inner padding and cheek pads are removable and washable. Gently remove them from the helmet. Hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water, or machine wash on a delicate cycle in a laundry bag. Air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not tumble dry.
6.4 General Inspection
Periodically inspect the helmet for any signs of damage, such as cracks in the shell, frayed straps, or worn padding. Check the retention system for proper function. If any damage is found, discontinue use and consider replacement.

7. Troubleshooting
- Visor Fogging: Ensure the Pinlock® inner visor is correctly installed and sealed. If fogging persists, ensure adequate ventilation by opening the helmet vents.
- Retention System Not Securing: Check for any debris in the Microlock buckle. Ensure the ribbed tab is fully inserted and the strap is not twisted. If the system is damaged, do not use the helmet.
- Helmet Feels Loose: Re-check the fit. If the helmet has become loose over time, the inner padding may be compressed. Consider replacing the padding or consulting a professional.
