4. Setup

4.1 Inserting the TF Card

  1. Open the TF card plug on the device.
  2. Insert the memory card into the slot.
  3. Close the TF card plug securely.

4.2 App Download

To view recorded videos and photos, download the 'Goplus Cam' app.

  • iOS Users: Download 'Goplus Cam' directly from the App Store.
  • Android Users: Open your phone's web browser, scan the QR code provided in the manual (page 20), and install the App. HUAWEI Harmony system users may need to exit 'Pure Mode' to scan and install.

4.3 Turning on WiFi

To connect the device to the app via WiFi:

  1. Press and hold the power key of the camera for 3 seconds.
  2. Press and hold the WiFi button for 3 seconds until you hear the voice reminder "WiFi Turned On".
  3. On your phone, open the WLAN list, choose "Freedconn", and input the password "12345678" to connect.

4.4 Pairing with a Cell Phone

  1. Press and hold the Multi-Function Button (MFB) for 6 seconds until the blue and red lights flash alternately. The Bluetooth is now in pairing status.
  2. Open the Bluetooth list on your phone and select "R1 Plus" to connect.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Click the MFB to play music. Click again to suspend.
  • Next/Previous Song: Turn the jog wheel clockwise for the next song, anti-clockwise for the previous song.
  • Volume Adjustment: Clockwise turn and hold the jog wheel to increase volume, anti-clockwise turn and hold to decrease volume.

5.2 Phone Calls

  • Answer Calls: Incoming calls will be answered automatically after 10 seconds without any operation.
  • Hang Up Calls: Press the MFB once to end an active call.
  • Reject Calls: Press and hold the MFB for 2 seconds to reject an incoming call.

5.3 Activating Voice Assistant

After pairing the Bluetooth with your phone, press and hold the MFB on the Bluetooth device for 2 seconds to activate your phone's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant).

5.4 FM Radio Function

  • Turn On/Off FM: Double-click the MFB when the Bluetooth is in power-off status to turn on FM. Repeat to turn off.
  • Channel Adjustment: Turn the jog wheel clockwise or anti-clockwise to adjust the FM channel.
  • Volume Adjustment: Turn and hold the jog wheel to adjust the FM volume.

5.5 Recorder/Photo Function

  • Start Recording: Press the camera's power key once to start recording. You will hear "Wi-Fi Turned On".
  • Stop Recording: Press the camera's power key again to stop recording.
  • Take Photo: During recording, press the WiFi key once to take a quick photo.

5.6 Checking Recorded Videos and Photos on Phone

  1. Ensure the device's WiFi is connected to your phone (see Section 4.3).
  2. Open the 'Goplus Cam' App.
  3. Click the Phone icon, then the File icon.
  4. Select the video or photo you wish to view or download.

5.7 Setting Display Time

To synchronize the device's time with your phone:

  1. Open the 'Goplus Cam' App.
  2. Click the edition number on the bottom left.
  3. Click "WIFI sport Cam Time" and then click "Enable".

5.8 Formatting the Memory Card

To format the TF card via the app:

  1. Open the 'Goplus Cam' App.
  2. Click the Setup Icon.
  3. Slide the page down to find the "Format" option.
  4. Click "Confirm" to finish the formatting.

5.9 Intercom Pairing

The R1 Plus supports intercom communication between multiple devices.

5.9.1 Pairing Two Devices

  1. On both devices (A and B), press and hold the On/Off button for 8 seconds until the blue and red lights flash alternately. This indicates pairing status.
  2. Click the On/Off button on either device (A or B) to search for the other. They will pair automatically.
  3. When the blue and red lights turn to a regular blue light only, pairing is successful.

5.9.2 Pairing Up to Six Devices

The first and last device in the group (e.g., A and F) cannot be paired directly within the group. If they have existing pairing records, clear them in advance (see Section 5.10).

  1. Pair device A and B, then turn off B.
  2. Pair device B and C, then turn off C.
  3. Pair device C and D, then turn off D.
  4. Pair device D and E, then turn off E.
  5. Pair device E and F.
  6. Click the MFB separately on devices A, B, C, D to finish the group pairing.

Once paired, all devices A, B, C, D, E, F can communicate in the group at any time.

5.10 Clearing Bluetooth Pairing Records

To clear all previous Bluetooth pairing records:

  1. Press and hold the On/Off button for 10 seconds when the Bluetooth is in the power-on status.
  2. The red light will flash quickly 3 times, indicating that the pairing records have been cleared.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Water Resistance: The device is IP65 water-resistant, suitable for various harsh environments like snow, rain, and mud. However, avoid submerging it in water.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Battery Care: Charge the battery regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain its lifespan. Avoid extreme temperatures during charging and storage.

7. Troubleshooting
