4. Setup

- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash both the upper teapot and lower kettle thoroughly with warm soapy water. Rinse well and dry completely.
- Positioning: Place the lower kettle on a stable, heat-resistant surface or directly onto your induction or stovetop burner.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Preparing Turkish Tea
- Fill the Lower Kettle: Fill the lower kettle with fresh water. Do not overfill; leave some space for boiling.
- Heat Water: Place the lower kettle on your stovetop (induction, gas, electric) and bring the water to a boil.
- Prepare Tea in Upper Teapot: While the water is heating, add your desired amount of loose-leaf tea (typically black tea) to the upper teapot. A general guideline is 1-2 teaspoons per person, plus one for the pot.
- Add Hot Water to Upper Teapot: Once the water in the lower kettle is boiling, carefully pour some of the hot water into the upper teapot, just enough to cover the tea leaves. Allow the tea to steep for a few minutes to create a strong concentrate.
- Stack and Continue Heating: Place the upper teapot on top of the lower kettle. Reduce the heat to low. The steam from the boiling water in the lower kettle will keep the tea concentrate warm and continue the brewing process gently.
- Steep: Allow the tea to steep for 10-15 minutes, or longer for a stronger brew.
- Serve: To serve, pour the tea concentrate from the upper teapot into a glass, then dilute with hot water from the lower kettle to your preferred strength.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
- Daily Cleaning: After each use, empty any remaining tea and water. Wash both pots with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly.
- Dishwasher Safe: The KARACA Adelya Teapot is dishwasher safe. Place both pots on the top rack of your dishwasher for cleaning.
