2. Setup and Initial Winding

Your OLEVS automatic watch is powered by the motion of your wrist. For initial use or after a period of inactivity, manual winding is recommended.

  1. Manual Winding: To initiate power, rotate the crown (located on the right side of the watch case) clockwise approximately 30-40 times while it is in its normal, pushed-in position. This will build up a power reserve.
  2. Setting the Time: Pull the crown out to the outermost position (position 2). Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Push the crown back in to its normal position (position 0) to start the watch.
  3. Setting Day/Date/Moon Phase: Your watch features a week pointer, calendar pointer, and moon phase display. These are typically adjusted using the small push-buttons on the side of the watch case or by pulling the crown to an intermediate position (position 1) and rotating. Refer to Figure 2 for button locations and functions.

3. Operating Your Automatic Watch

The OLEVS 6617 watch is equipped with an imported stable and durable Japan Automatic Movement. This self-winding mechanism eliminates the need for batteries, relying on the natural motion of your arm to keep it wound. When fully wound, the watch has a power reserve that allows it to run for a period even when not worn.

  • Automatic Winding: Wear the watch regularly (at least 8-10 hours a day) to maintain sufficient power reserve.
  • Skeleton Dial Design: The watch features a skeleton dial, allowing you to observe the intricate mechanical movement. It also includes a tourbillon, moon phase window, and day/date display for enhanced functionality and aesthetic appeal.
  • Luminous Display: The hands and hour markers are treated with luminous material, allowing for readability in low-light conditions.

4. Maintenance and Care

Proper care will extend the life and maintain the appearance of your OLEVS watch.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and strap with a soft, dry cloth regularly to remove dust and dirt. For the stainless steel strap, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Water Resistance: The watch is water-resistant to 30 meters (100 feet). This means it can withstand splashing water or brief immersion. It is not suitable for bathing, swimming, diving, or any prolonged water activities. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
  • Temperature and Magnetic Fields: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or strong magnetic fields, as these can affect the accuracy of the mechanical movement.
  • Storage: When not wearing the watch for extended periods, store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original box or a watch winder to maintain its power reserve.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your OLEVS watch, please refer to the following common solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Watch stops or runs intermittently Insufficient power reserve. Manually wind the watch 30-40 times. Wear the watch regularly to allow the automatic movement to function.
Time is inaccurate Exposure to strong magnetic fields or low power reserve. Ensure the watch is fully wound. Keep the watch away from strong magnets (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, certain electronic devices). If the problem persists, professional demagnetization may be required.
Date/Day/Moon phase not changing Incorrect setting or low power. Ensure the watch has sufficient power. Adjust the date/day/moon phase using the appropriate buttons/crown positions as described in the Setup section. Avoid adjusting between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement.
