  2. Power On: Connect the power adapter to the DC Power Input (7) on the extender and plug it into a power outlet. Turn on the device using the Power On/Off Switch (6). Wait for the Power Indicator (3) to stabilize.
  3. Connect to Router (WPS Method - Recommended):
    • Press the WPS Button (4) on your AirTies extender for 1-2 seconds.
    • Within two minutes, press the WPS button on your main wireless router.
    • The 2.4 GHz (2) and 5 GHz (1) Wi-Fi indicators on the extender should blink and then turn solid, indicating a successful connection.
  4. Connect to Router (Manual Method - If WPS Fails):
    • Connect your computer or mobile device to the extender's default Wi-Fi network (SSID and password usually found on a label on the device).
    • Open a web browser and enter the extender's default IP address (refer to the device label or AirTies documentation for the specific IP).
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your existing Wi-Fi network and enter its password.
    • Save the settings. The extender will restart and connect to your router.
  5. Verify Connection: Once connected, the 2.4 GHz (2) and 5 GHz (1) Wi-Fi indicators should be solid, indicating a stable connection to your router. You can now connect your wireless devices to the extended network.

4. Operating Instructions

Once set up, the AirTies Air 4920 operates automatically to extend your Wi-Fi signal. Here are some operational aspects:

  • Extended Network: The extender typically broadcasts an extended network with the same name (SSID) as your main router, allowing devices to seamlessly roam. Some configurations may create a new SSID (e.g., YourNetwork_EXT).
  • Indicator Lights: Monitor the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi indicators to ensure both bands are active and connected. If an indicator is off or blinking erratically, it may indicate a connection issue.
  • Ethernet Ports: Use the Gigabit Ethernet Ports (5) to connect wired devices to your network. This is ideal for devices that require a stable, high-speed connection, such as desktop computers, smart TVs, or gaming consoles.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your AirTies Air 4920 extender.

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols. Ensure the ventilation slots are free from dust accumulation.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the AirTies official website for firmware updates. Keeping your firmware updated can improve performance, add new features, and enhance security.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the extender is placed in a location with adequate airflow to prevent overheating. Do not cover the ventilation slots.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AirTies Air 4920 extender, try the following troubleshooting steps:

ProblemPossible Solution
