Setup and Installation

The FITCAMX Dash Cam is designed for an OEM-style integration, ensuring a clean and discreet installation without visible wires or obstruction of your windshield. Please follow these steps carefully:

1. Prepare the Installation Area: Use the provided pry tool to carefully remove the large cover around your vehicle's rearview mirror. Then, remove the triangular cover and the small back cover to expose the wiring.
2. Connect the Power Cable: Locate the green plug in your vehicle's existing wiring. Connect the green plug from the dash cam's Y-cable to this port. Ensure a secure connection.
3. Install the Dash Cam: Mount the dash cam onto the large cover you removed earlier. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
4. Reassemble the Covers: Carefully reattach the large cover with the dash cam mounted, followed by the small back cover and the triangular cover. Ensure all parts are properly aligned and secured.
5. Rear Camera Installation (if applicable): The rear camera can be mounted on the rear windshield or facing the cabin. Route the rear camera cable discreetly along the vehicle's interior trim to the main dash cam unit and connect it.

Operating Instructions

Your FITCAMX Dash Cam is designed for ease of use and automatic operation.

• Automatic Operation: The dash cam will automatically turn on and off with your car's engine. No manual intervention is required for daily recording.
• Dual HD Recording: The front camera records at 1440P (2K) resolution, and the rear camera records at 1080P. Equipped with a Novatek chip and f/1.6 aperture lens, it captures smooth video at 30 frames per second. Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology ensures balanced exposure in various lighting conditions.
• Loop Recording: When the memory card is full, the dash cam automatically overwrites the oldest unlocked footage to continue recording without interruption.
• G-Sensor: The built-in G-Sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. In such events, it automatically locks the current video footage to prevent it from being overwritten, preserving critical evidence.
• Built-in WiFi & APP: Connect your smartphone to the dash cam's built-in WiFi to access the FITCAMX app. Through the app, you can view live video, manage recordings, and download important footage directly to your phone. Note: You cannot connect to the dash cam's WiFi and use CarPlay simultaneously. However, the camera records automatically, so continuous WiFi connection is not required for recording.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your dash cam.

• Memory Card Management: All video footage is saved to the MicroSD card (not your phone). To view videos not yet downloaded, connect to the built-in WiFi when the car is started. Alternatively, you can insert the MicroSD card into a PC to view all recordings.
• Operating Temperature: The FITCAMX camera is designed to operate normally within a temperature range of -20°C to 85°C (-4°F to 185°F). It is normal for the camera to generate heat, especially due to the surrounding vehicle components and direct sunlight exposure.
• Cleaning: Keep the camera lenses clean from dust and smudges to ensure clear video quality. Use a soft, lint-free cloth.

Troubleshooting

Refer to the following common issues and their solutions:

• Incorrect Model Selection: To ensure the correct model, compare your vehicle's style, year, and cover shape. Contact FITCAMX support for further confirmation if needed.
• CarPlay/Bluetooth Usage: You can use CarPlay/Bluetooth while driving. The dash cam records automatically. WiFi connection to the dash cam is not required for recording, only for app access.
• Adding a Rear Camera to a Front-Only Version: This is not possible. The PCB boards for front-only and dual recording versions are different. A complete set replacement is required for different video resolutions.
• Dash Cam Not Turning On/Off Automatically: The dash cam should auto turn on/off with your car engine. If not, ensure the power connection is secure.
• Phone Cannot Connect to WiFi: Ensure the car engine is started and the dash cam is working. If issues persist, provide screenshots of your WiFi and app pages to support. The FITCAMX app is designed to be safe and stable.
• No Parking Monitoring: Parking monitoring functionality depends on whether your car's power plug can supply continuous electricity, as designed by the car manufacturer. To upgrade this function, an extra harness cable (ASIN: B09PQ9KDYX) is required.
