Setup

Initial Winding and Time Setting

As an automatic mechanical watch, it does not require a battery. For the first use, or if the watch has stopped due to inactivity, it needs to be manually wound:

  1. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in.
  2. Turn the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times until you feel resistance. This will initiate the movement and build up the power reserve.
  3. To set the time, pull the crown out to the outermost position. Turn the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands.
  4. Once the time is set, push the crown back in to secure it.

The watch will continue to wind itself through the natural motion of your wrist while worn. If worn for at least 8 hours a day, manual winding should not be frequently necessary. If not worn for extended periods, manually wind it every few days (e.g., every 7-14 days) to maintain accuracy.

Setting Date, Day, and Month

The watch features multi-calendar windows for date, day of the week, and month. Refer to the image below for button locations:

  3. Adjust Time: Pull out the crown (3) to the outermost position to set the time.
  4. Adjust Month: Use button (4) to advance the month.

Note: Avoid adjusting the date or day between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement.

Strap Adjustment

The stainless steel strap can be resized to fit your wrist. A strap adjustment tool is included with your watch. If the strap is too loose or too tight, you can remove or add links as needed. For detailed instructions on using the strap adjustment tool, please refer to the video demonstration below or consult a professional jeweler.

Operating Instructions

Automatic Movement

The OLEVS GX-G9910 is an automatic watch, meaning it is powered by the motion of your body. When worn, the rotor inside the watch moves, winding the mainspring and storing energy. This energy powers the watch, allowing it to keep accurate time without a battery.

  • Power Reserve: The watch has a power reserve of over 45 hours when fully wound.
  • Luminous Function: The hands and markers feature a luminous coating, allowing you to read the time in low-light conditions.

Maintenance

Water Resistance

This watch is 3ATM water-resistant, which means it can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or showering. Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam, as this can compromise the seals.

Cleaning and Care

  • Wipe the watch case and strap regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt.
  • For the stainless steel strap, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid contact with harsh chemicals, solvents, or detergents, as these can damage the watch's finish and seals.
  • Store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.

Service and Inspection

For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to have your mechanical watch serviced by a qualified watchmaker every 3-5 years. This includes cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of the movement and seals.
