7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Water Tank

After each use, empty any remaining water from the tank. Rinse the tank with clean water and allow it to air dry before storing.

7.2 Descaling

Mineral deposits can build up over time, especially if tap water is used. Regular descaling is crucial for optimal performance and longevity. It is recommended to descale the steamer every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you notice reduced steam output or white residue.

  1. Unplug the steamer and ensure it is cool.
  2. Remove the water tank.
  3. Prepare a descaling solution using white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling product suitable for steamers.
  4. Pour the solution into the water tank and let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour.
  5. Empty the tank and rinse it thoroughly with clean water several times.
  6. Fill the tank with clean water, reattach it, and run the steamer for a few minutes to flush out any remaining solution.
