1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the BluMill Espresso Machine. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new coffee machine. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.

The BluMill Espresso Machine is designed to prepare a variety of coffee beverages, including delicious espresso, steamed cappuccino, and latte macchiato, with ease and convenience. It features an integrated automatic milk frother and a powerful 1500W heating system.

2. Safety Instructions

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons.

• Read all instructions before using the appliance.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against fire, electric shock, and personal injury, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or personal injury.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

Familiarize yourself with the parts of your BluMill Espresso Machine:

• Control Panel: Buttons for Espresso, Cappuccino, and Latte.
• Water Tank: 1.2-liter capacity for water supply.
• Portafilter: Holds ground coffee.
• Milk Frother Container: Detachable container for milk, with automatic frothing function.
• Drip Tray: Removable tray to collect spills.
• Adjustable Cup Stand: Can be raised or lowered for different cup sizes.
• Measuring Spoon with Tamper: For precise coffee dosing and tamping.

4. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Ensure all components are present and undamaged. Remove any red stoppers or protective films, especially from the water tank.
2. Placement: Place the machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and heat.
3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the water tank, milk frother container, portafilter, and drip tray with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Fill Water Tank: Fill the 1.2-liter water tank with fresh, cold water. Ensure the tank is properly seated.
5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
6. First Use Cycle (Priming):
   • Ensure the water tank is filled.
   • Place an empty cup under the coffee spout.
   • Press the "Espresso" button without coffee in the portafilter to allow water to flow through the system. Repeat this process a few times to prime the pump and clean the internal components.

5. Operating Instructions

Making Espresso:

1. Ensure the water tank is filled.
2. Insert the desired filter (single or double) into the portafilter.
3. Add ground coffee to the filter using the measuring spoon. For a single espresso, use one level spoon; for a double, use two.
4. Use the tamper end of the measuring spoon to gently press the coffee grounds evenly.
5. Attach the portafilter securely to the machine.
6. Place your espresso cup(s) on the drip tray. Adjust the cup stand if needed for smaller cups.
7. Press the Espresso button. The machine will brew the coffee.
8. Once brewing is complete, the machine will stop automatically.

Making Cappuccino or Latte (with Automatic Milk Frother):

1. Prepare your espresso as described above.
2. Fill the milk frother container with your preferred milk (cow's milk, soy milk, oat milk, almond milk, etc.) up to the MAX line.
3. Attach the milk frother container to the machine.
4. Place your cup under both the coffee spout and the milk frother spout.
5. Press the Cappuccino or Latte button. The machine will first brew the espresso, then automatically froth and dispense the milk into your cup.
6. Once complete, remove your cup.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your BluMill Espresso Machine.

Daily Cleaning:

• Drip Tray: Remove and empty the drip tray after each use. Wash with warm soapy water and rinse.

• Milk Frother Container: After each use, detach the milk frother container. It is dishwasher safe. For quick cleaning, the machine has a special cleaning function for the milk spout.

• Portafilter: Remove used coffee grounds and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under warm water.

Depending on water hardness, descaling should be performed regularly (e.g., every 2-3 months) to prevent mineral buildup. Refer to a suitable descaling solution's instructions for proper use. Always run several cycles of clear water through the machine after descaling to rinse thoroughly.
