Controls and Ports

• Power Button: Located on the earcup, used for powering on/off and Bluetooth pairing.
• Volume Up/Next Track Button: Increases volume with a short press, skips to the next track with a long press.
• Volume Down/Previous Track Button: Decreases volume with a short press, goes to the previous track with a long press.
• Multi-function Button (MFB): Controls play/pause, answer/end calls, and activates voice assistant.
• ANC Switch: Toggles Active Noise Cancelling on or off.
• USB-C Charging Port: For connecting the charging cable.
• 3.5mm Audio Jack: For wired connection to audio devices.
• LED Indicator: Displays power, charging, and pairing status.
• Microphone: For hands-free calls and voice assistant commands.

Setup

1. Charging the Headphones

1. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the charging port on the headphones.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
3. The LED indicator will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged. A full charge provides up to 12 hours of playback.

2. Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the headphones are turned off.
2. Press and hold the Power Button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue and red alternately, indicating pairing mode.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
4. Select "Altec Lansing Whisper" from the list of found devices.
5. Once successfully paired, the LED indicator will slowly flash blue, and you will hear an audible confirmation.
6. If pairing fails, turn off the headphones and repeat the steps.

Note: The headphones will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last paired device when powered on.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the Power Button for 3 seconds. The LED indicator will flash blue.
• Power Off: Press and hold the Power Button for 3 seconds. The LED indicator will turn off.

Music Playback

• Play/Pause: Short press the Multi-function Button (MFB).
• Next Track: Long press the Volume Up button.
• Previous Track: Long press the Volume Down button.
• Volume Up: Short press the Volume Up button.
• Volume Down: Short press the Volume Down button.

Call Management

• Answer/End Call: Short press the Multi-function Button (MFB) during an incoming call.
• Reject Call: Long press the Multi-function Button (MFB) during an incoming call.

Active Noise Cancelling (ANC)

• To activate ANC, slide the ANC Switch to the "ON" position. The ANC indicator light will illuminate.
• To deactivate ANC, slide the ANC Switch to the "OFF" position. The ANC indicator light will turn off.
• Note: ANC can be used independently or simultaneously with Bluetooth audio.

Voice Assistant (Just Ask)

• To activate your device's voice assistant (Siri or Google Assistant), double-press the Multi-function Button (MFB).
• You can then issue commands such as making calls, sending texts, or getting directions.

Wired Connection

• To use the headphones with a wired connection, plug one end of the 3.5mm audio cable into the headphone's audio jack and the other end into your audio device.
• Note: Bluetooth functionality will be disabled when the audio cable is connected. ANC can still be used in wired mode.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the headphones. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: When not in use, store the headphones in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The foldable design allows for compact storage.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the headphones frequently. Charge them regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
• Water Exposure: These headphones are not waterproof. Avoid exposure to water or excessive moisture.
