Adjusting Driving Force
The INGCO HSG1405 features an adjustable driving force mechanism to accommodate different materials and fastener types. This is controlled by the Pressure Adjustment Knob located at the top of the tool.

Figure 3: Adjusting the driving force.
- Turn the knob clockwise for Higher Power, suitable for harder materials or longer fasteners.
- Turn the knob counter-clockwise for Lower Power, suitable for softer materials or shorter fasteners.
- Always test the adjusted force on a scrap piece of the same material before fastening to your project.
Firing the Staple Gun
- Place the nose of the staple gun firmly against the workpiece where you want to fasten.
- Ensure the tool is held perpendicular to the surface for optimal fastener penetration.
- Squeeze the ergonomic handle firmly and completely to fire the fastener.
- Release the handle after each shot.
6. Maintenance
Quick Jam Release
If a fastener becomes jammed, the INGCO HSG1405 is equipped with a quick jam release mechanism:
- Ensure the tool is pointed away from yourself and others.
- Locate the Mental Drive Channel Switch (often a lever or button near the front of the magazine).
- Pull down the metal drive channel to expose the jammed fastener.
- Carefully remove the jammed fastener using pliers or a similar tool. Do not use excessive force.
- Once the jam is cleared, push the metal drive channel back into place until it locks.
- Reload fasteners and test the tool on a scrap piece of material.
Regularly inspect the tool for any loose parts or damage. Keep the tool clean and free of debris. A light application of oil to moving parts can help maintain smooth operation.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Fasteners not firing | Empty magazine, jammed fastener, handle lock engaged. | Reload fasteners, clear jam (see Maintenance), release handle lock. |
| Fasteners not fully driven | Insufficient driving force, hard material, improper tool placement. | Increase driving force (turn knob clockwise), ensure firm and perpendicular placement, consider pre-drilling for very hard materials. |
| Fasteners bending or misfiring | Incorrect fastener type/size, worn driver blade, material too thin/soft. | Use correct fasteners, inspect driver blade for wear, use a backing material for thin workpieces. |
