1. Introduction

5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Powering the Units

1. Outdoor Push Button:
   • Open the battery compartment on the back of the push button.
   • Insert the supplied CR2450 button cell battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
   • Close the battery compartment securely.
2. Indoor Chime Unit:
   • Open the battery compartment on the back of the chime unit.
   • Insert 3x AA alkaline batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
   • Close the battery compartment securely.

5.2 Mounting the Push Button

Choose a suitable location for the outdoor push button, ideally near your entrance and protected from direct heavy rain. Ensure it is within the wireless range of your indoor chime unit.

• Using Adhesive Tape:
  • Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure it is dry and free of dust or grease.
  • Peel off one side of the double-sided adhesive tape and apply it firmly to the back of the push button.
  • Peel off the other side of the tape and press the push button firmly onto the desired surface for at least 30 seconds.
• Using Screws:
  • Mark the desired drilling points on the wall using the push button as a template.
  • Drill holes and insert the wall plugs (if necessary for your wall type).
  • Secure the push button to the wall using the provided screws.

5.3 Initial Test

After powering and mounting, test the doorbell system:

• Wave your hand in front of the push button's sensor or press the button.
• The indoor chime unit should sound a melody and its backlight should activate.
• If the chime does not sound, refer to the Troubleshooting section.

6. Operating Instructions

The indoor chime unit features several buttons for customization.

6.1 Changing Melodies

Press the Melody Selection button (often indicated by a music note icon) on the side of the indoor chime unit to cycle through the 60 available melodies. Stop pressing when you hear your desired melody.

6.2 Adjusting Volume

Press the Volume button (often indicated by a speaker icon) on the side of the indoor chime unit to adjust the sound level. There are multiple volume levels, including a silent mode.

6.3 Silent Mode

When the chime unit is set to silent mode, it will still provide a visual indication (blinking light) when the push button is activated. This ensures you are aware of visitors without audible disturbance.

6.4 Contactless Activation

To activate the doorbell without physical contact, simply wave your hand approximately 10cm (4 inches) in front of the sensor area on the outdoor push button. The sensor will detect the movement and trigger the chime.

6.5 Traditional Activation

Alternatively, you can press the main button on the outdoor push button to activate the doorbell.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Replacement

• Outdoor Push Button (CR2450): When the push button's backlight becomes dim or the range decreases, it's time to replace the battery. Open the battery compartment, remove the old battery, and insert a new CR2450 battery with correct polarity.
• Indoor Chime Unit (3x AA): If the chime unit stops working or the sound becomes weak, replace the 3x AA batteries. Open the battery compartment, remove old batteries, and insert new ones with correct polarity.

7.2 Cleaning

Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surface.
