  • Lightweight: 8g
  • Compatibility: Turbo Racing P52, P32, P62 transmitters

3. Setup and Binding

Before operating your RC model, the receiver must be properly bound to your transmitter. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Connect Power: Connect the receiver to a power source (e.g., ESC BEC) via the designated power port. Some users have noted that for certain setups, power may need to be connected to Channel 2.
  2. Enter Binding Mode:
    • Locate the BEC connector terminals on the top side of the receiver.
    • Identify the "PAIR" marking.
    • Using a small metal object (e.g., a paperclip or a dedicated shorting plug, which is not included with the receiver), short-circuit the left and center terminals of the BEC connector. This will put the receiver into pairing mode.
    • The indicator light on the receiver should begin to flash rapidly.
  3. Power On Transmitter: While the receiver is in pairing mode, turn on your Turbo Racing transmitter.
  4. Confirm Binding: The indicator light on the receiver should stop flashing and remain solid, indicating a successful binding.
  5. Test Controls: After successful binding, test all control surfaces (steering, throttle) to ensure proper communication between the transmitter and receiver.

Important Note: A short-circuit connector is required for binding and is not included with the receiver. You will need to provide your own tool for this step.

4. Operating Instructions

Once bound, the RX49 receiver is ready for operation. This receiver features an integrated gyro for improved stability and control, especially useful for RC drift cars or boats.

4.1 Gyro Function and Adjustment

The RX49 receiver has a built-in gyro function. If your transmitter does not have a dedicated gyro adjustment function, you can adjust the gyro sensitivity directly on the receiver:

  1. Activate Gyro: Long-press the "Gain" button on the receiver. The indicator light will flash rapidly, confirming the gyro is ON.
  2. Increase Gyro Sensitivity: While the gyro is ON, press the "Gain" button briefly to increase the gyro sensitivity.
  3. Decrease Gyro Sensitivity: While the gyro is ON, press the "Rev/Nor" button briefly to decrease the gyro sensitivity.

Note: The "Gain" and "Rev/Nor" buttons are small and may require a thin object (like a toothpick or small screwdriver) to press.

4.2 Failsafe Function

The failsafe function is designed to protect your model in case of signal loss. When the signal is lost, the receiver will automatically set the throttle to a pre-defined position (usually neutral or brake) and steering to a neutral position to prevent the model from running out of control. Ensure your failsafe settings are configured correctly according to your transmitter's manual.

5. Maintenance

The Turbo Racing RX49 receiver is designed for durability and features a waterproof specification. Minimal maintenance is required:

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the receiver's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Connections: Ensure all wire connections are secure and free from corrosion.
  • Storage: Store the receiver in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
  • Water Exposure: While waterproof, avoid prolonged submersion or exposure to highly corrosive liquids. Always ensure the receiver is dry before connecting power after water exposure.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your RX49 receiver, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Receiver not bindingIncorrect binding procedure, shorting tool not used, or power connection issue.Review Section 3 (Setup and Binding). Ensure the left and center BEC terminals are properly short-circuited. Verify power is connected correctly, possibly trying Channel 2 for power if Channel 1 fails.
No control after bindingBinding failed, incorrect channel connections, or transmitter issue.Re-attempt the binding process. Check all servo and ESC connections to the correct receiver channels. Ensure your transmitter is functioning correctly.
Gyro not functioning or unstableGyro not activated, incorrect sensitivity, or external interference.Ensure the gyro is activated by long-pressing the "Gain" button. Adjust gyro sensitivity as described in Section 4.1. Test in an open area away from strong electromagnetic interference.
Intermittent signal lossRange issues, interference, or loose antenna.Ensure the receiver antenna is properly positioned and not obstructed. Operate within the recommended range of your transmitter. Check for other 2.4GHz devices causing interference.
