2. Setup

2.1. Battery Installation

Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
Open the battery compartment cover.
Insert three (3) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Power On/Off

To Power On: Press the central 'TARE' button. The display will illuminate and show '0: 0.0' or '0 g' when ready.
To Power Off: Press and hold the central 'TARE' button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale will also automatically shut off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

3.2. Changing Measurement Units

The scale can measure in pounds/ounces (lb oz), fluid ounces (fl.oz.), grams (g), and milliliters (mL).

To Change Units: Rotate the central knob to select your desired unit of measurement. The selected unit will be highlighted on the display.

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container or previous ingredients, so you only measure the new item being added.

Place an empty container on the scale. The display will show its weight.
Press the central 'TARE' button. The display will reset to '0'.
Add the ingredient you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show only the weight of the new ingredient.

3.4. Hold Function

The Hold function is useful for weighing large or oversized items that might obscure the display. It locks the weight reading on the screen.

Place the item on the scale.
Press the 'HOLD' button. The weight displayed will be locked.
You can now remove the item, and the last measured weight will remain on the display.
Press 'HOLD' again to clear the display or to take a new measurement.
