Setup and Installation
The Duravit Vero sink is designed for undermount installation. Proper installation ensures stability and prevents leaks. Refer to the diagram below for critical dimensions, especially for ADA compliance.
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Countertop: Ensure the countertop opening is cut precisely according to the sink template (usually provided with the sink or available from the manufacturer). The opening should be slightly smaller than the sink rim to allow for proper undermount support.
- Apply Sealant: Apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant around the rim of the sink opening on the underside of the countertop.
- Position the Sink: Carefully lift the sink and align it with the countertop opening from below. Press firmly to ensure good contact with the sealant.
- Secure with Mounting Hardware: Attach the provided mounting clips or brackets to the sink and countertop, tightening them evenly to secure the sink in place. Do not overtighten.
- Connect Drain Assembly: Install the pop-up drain assembly (not included) into the sink's drain hole, following the manufacturer's instructions for the drain. Ensure a watertight seal.
- Connect Faucet and Water Lines: Install the faucet (not included) onto the countertop and connect the hot and cold water supply lines.
- Connect P-Trap: Connect the P-trap to the drain assembly and the wall drain pipe.
- Test for Leaks: Turn on the main water supply and check all connections for leaks. Run water into the sink and observe the drain connections.
- Cure Sealant: Allow the silicone sealant to cure completely as per the sealant manufacturer's instructions before heavy use.

Figure 1: ADA Installation Diagram. This diagram illustrates key dimensions for the Duravit Vero Undermount Sink, including a maximum countertop height of 34 inches (865 mm) for ADA compliance, a sink depth of approximately 1 3/8 inches (35 mm) below the countertop, and drain pipe clearances. The overall height from the floor to the top of the sink is approximately 25 5/8 inches (650 mm) or 23 5/8 inches (600 mm) to the bottom of the sink bowl. The drain center is offset by 4 3/4 inches (120 mm) from the center of the sink. The overflow is positioned approximately 6 1/4 inches (160 mm) from the top edge of the sink.
Operating Instructions
Your Duravit Vero sink is designed for everyday use in a bathroom environment. To operate, simply turn on your faucet to dispense water. The sink is equipped with an overflow to prevent minor overfilling. Ensure the pop-up drain is functioning correctly to retain or release water as needed.
Maintenance
Regular cleaning will help maintain the appearance and hygiene of your ceramic sink.
- Daily Cleaning: Wipe the sink surface with a soft, damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Rinse thoroughly with water and then wipe dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
- Stain Removal: For stubborn stains, use a ceramic-safe cleaner. Always test the cleaner on an inconspicuous area first.
- Avoid: Do not use abrasive sponges, steel wool, or harsh chemical cleaners (e.g., strong acids, alkalis, or drain cleaners) as these can damage the ceramic glaze.
- Overflow Maintenance: Periodically clean the overflow channel to prevent buildup.
