Setup
- Connect to TV: Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI OUT port on the SX887 to an HDMI IN port on your television.
- Connect IR Receiver: Plug the external IR receiver into the IR port on the SX887. Position the IR receiver in a location where it has a clear line of sight to your remote control.
- Connect to Network (Optional): For internet features like YouTube and Internet Radio, connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the LAN port on the SX887. Alternatively, a compatible WiFi USB adapter (not included) can be used.
- Power On: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 5V input port on the SX887, then plug the adapter into a power outlet. The device will automatically power on or enter standby mode.
- Initial Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup, including language selection and network configuration.
Operating Instructions
Basic Navigation
- Use the directional buttons (up, down, left, right) on the remote control to navigate through menus.
- Press the OK button to confirm selections.
- Press the MENU button to access the main menu.
- Press the EXIT button to return to the previous screen or exit a menu.
Media Playback
The SX887 supports playback of MP3 files, photos, and videos from external USB storage devices. Insert your USB drive into one of the USB 2.0 ports and navigate to the media player application from the main menu to access your files.
Internet Features
Access applications like YouTube and Internet Radio directly from the main menu. Ensure your device is connected to the internet via Ethernet or a compatible WiFi adapter for these features to function.
