Please read this manual carefully before operating the device to ensure safe and efficient use.
2. Safety Instructions
Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the device:
- Ensure the power supply matches the device's requirements.
- Do not operate the device with a damaged power cord or plug.
- Keep the device away from water and other liquids.
- Do not insert objects into the air inlet or outlet.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Unplug the device before cleaning or maintenance.
- Place the device on a stable, level surface.
- Do not block the air inlets or outlets.

Main Components:
- Control Panel: Located on the top, with digital display and touch buttons.
- Air Outlet: Top of the unit.
- Air Inlet: Rear of the unit.
- Water Tank: Removable tank at the bottom rear for collected water.
- Continuous Drainage Outlet: Port at the rear for connecting a hose for continuous drainage.
- HEPA Filter & Pre-filter: Located behind the air inlet grille.
- Castor Wheels: For easy movement of the unit.
4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the device from its packaging.
- Remove all packing materials.
- Inspect the device for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
4.2 Placement
For optimal performance, place the dehumidifier in a location that allows for proper airflow.
- Ensure at least 20 cm (8 inches) of clear space around all sides of the unit.
- Place the unit on a firm, level surface to prevent vibrations and noise.
- Avoid placing the unit near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Do not place the unit in areas where it might be exposed to splashing water.

4.3 Power Connection
Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The unit is now ready for operation.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Control Panel
The control panel allows you to manage all functions of the dehumidifier.

- Power Button: Turns the unit On/Off.
- Mode Button: Cycles through operating modes (Auto, Continuous, Laundry Drying, Night Mode).
- Humidity Setting Buttons (+/-): Adjusts the target humidity level.
- Timer Button: Sets the auto-on or auto-off timer.
- Fan Speed Button: Adjusts fan speed (if available).
- Display: Shows current humidity, target humidity, or timer settings.
- LED Indicator: Changes color based on ambient humidity levels.

5.2 Setting Target Humidity
In Auto mode, you can set your desired humidity level:
- Press the Mode button until Auto mode is selected.
- Use the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the target humidity between 30% and 80% relative humidity.
- The unit will automatically operate to maintain the set humidity level.
5.3 Operating Modes
- Automatic Mode: Maintains a user-defined humidity level.
- Continuous Dehumidification: Runs continuously regardless of humidity level. Ideal for very damp environments.
- Laundry Drying Mode: Operates at high fan speed for continuous dehumidification to assist in drying clothes.
- Night Mode: Operates at a lower fan speed for quieter operation, suitable for bedrooms.
5.4 Timer Function
The timer can be set for automatic switch-on or switch-off:
- Press the Timer button.
- Use the '+' or '-' buttons to set the desired operating hours (1-24 hours).
- The timer will activate after a few seconds if no further input is made.
5.5 Water Tank and Continuous Drainage
The unit features a 2.5-liter water tank. When full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate.

Emptying the Water Tank:
- Carefully pull out the water tank from the rear of the unit.
- Empty the collected water.
- Slide the tank back into place until it clicks securely.
Continuous Drainage Setup:
For continuous operation without emptying the tank, connect a hose to the drainage outlet.

- Locate the continuous drainage outlet at the back of the unit.
- Connect a suitable hose (not included) to this outlet.
- Ensure the hose is directed downwards to a drain or container, allowing gravity to facilitate water flow.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your dehumidifier.
6.1 Cleaning the Pre-filter
The pre-filter captures larger particles like dust and pet hair and should be cleaned regularly.
- Unplug the device.
- Remove the air inlet grille at the back of the unit.
- Carefully remove the pre-filter.
- Clean the pre-filter with a vacuum cleaner or rinse it under running water. Allow it to dry completely before reinserting.
- Reinstall the pre-filter and the air inlet grille.
6.2 Replacing the HEPA Filter
The HEPA filter removes fine particles and should be replaced periodically (typically every 6-12 months, depending on usage and air quality).

- Unplug the device.
- Remove the air inlet grille and the pre-filter as described above.
- Carefully remove the old HEPA filter.
- Insert a new, genuine TROTEC HEPA filter.
- Reinstall the pre-filter and the air inlet grille.
6.3 Cleaning the Water Tank
Clean the water tank regularly to prevent mold and bacteria growth.
- Remove and empty the water tank.
- Wash the tank with mild detergent and warm water.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry before reinserting.
6.4 Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your device, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions.
