This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and care of your new 4-slice wide slot stainless steel toaster and 1.7-liter stainless steel electric water kettle. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use and retain it for future reference.
2. Important Safety Information
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic safety precautions:
- Read all instructions.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

4. Setup
Unboxing and Placement:
- Carefully remove the toaster and kettle from their packaging.
- Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels.
- Place the appliances on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the countertop and out of reach of children. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliances.
- Wipe the exterior of both appliances with a damp cloth.
First Use:
Before using for the first time, it is recommended to run both appliances without food or water to eliminate any manufacturing odors.
- Toaster: Plug in the toaster. Set the browning control to a medium setting. Press the carriage lever down without bread. A slight odor may be present; this is normal and will dissipate. Repeat 2-3 times.
- Kettle: Fill the kettle with fresh water to the MAX fill line. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat 2-3 times.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Toaster Operation

- Prepare Bread: Place up to four slices of bread, bagels, or waffles into the wide slots. The self-centering guides will hold the food in place.
- Set Browning: Adjust the browning control dial to your desired level (1 for light, 6 for dark).
- Start Toasting: Press the carriage lever down until it latches. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Special Functions:
- CANCEL: Press this button to stop the toasting cycle at any time.
- BAGEL: Activates a setting that toasts the cut side of bagels while gently warming the outer side.
- DEFROST: Ideal for toasting frozen bread, automatically extending the toasting time to account for thawing.
- Completion: Once the cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up and the indicator light will turn off.
5.2 Kettle Operation

- Fill Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark.
- Place on Base: Place the kettle securely onto its 360-degree rotational power base.
- Power On: Plug the power cord into a suitable wall outlet. Press the ON/OFF switch down. The LED indicator light will illuminate.
- Boiling: The kettle will begin to heat the water. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, the kettle will automatically shut off and the indicator light will extinguish.
- Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from the base and pour the hot water. Be cautious of steam escaping from the spout.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Haden Heritage appliances.
6.1 Toaster Cleaning

- Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Crumb Tray: Pull out the crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster. Slide out and empty crumbs. Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before reinserting. Clean regularly to prevent fire hazards.
- Interior: Never insert utensils into the toaster slots. If bread becomes jammed, unplug the toaster and allow it to cool before carefully removing the bread.
6.2 Kettle Cleaning

- Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Interior/Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle. To descale, fill the kettle with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes, or boil the mixture for 5-10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times.
- Filter: The kettle features a removable filter located behind the spout. Gently pull it out, rinse under running water, and brush away any deposits. Reinsert securely.
