Operating Instructions
Cooking Rice
- Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One full cup typically yields two servings of cooked rice.
- Rinse Rice: Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch.
- Add to Inner Pot: Place the rinsed rice into the inner pot.
- Add Water: For most types of white rice, a common ratio is 1 cup of rice to 1.5-2 cups of water. Adjust the water level according to the type of rice and desired consistency. The inner pot has water level markings for guidance.
- Place Pot: Ensure the exterior of the inner pot is dry, then place it into the main unit of the rice cooker.
- Close Lid: Place the glass lid securely on the rice cooker.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a wall outlet. The "WARM" indicator light will illuminate.
- Start Cooking: Press the cooking switch down to the "COOK" position. The "COOK" indicator light will illuminate, and the cooking process will begin.
- Automatic Keep Warm: Once the rice is cooked, the appliance will automatically switch to the "WARM" mode, and the "WARM" indicator light will turn on. For best results, allow the rice to rest in "WARM" mode for 5-10 minutes before serving.
- Serve: Use the provided serving spoon to fluff and serve the rice.
