1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your TUXING TXF02 4500Psi PCP Compressor Oil Water Filter. This filter is designed to effectively remove oil, moisture, and impurities from compressed air, ensuring cleaner air for your PCP air pump, air compressor, or scuba diving applications. Please read these instructions thoroughly before use to ensure safety and optimal performance.
2. Safety Information
- Always ensure the air pressure system is depressurized before installing or performing maintenance on the filter.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, when working with compressed air systems.
- Do not exceed the maximum rated pressure of 4500Psi (310 Bar) for this filter.
- Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free before operating the air compressor or pump.
- Keep the filter away from heat sources and open flames.
- Store replacement parts in a clean, dry environment.
3. Package Contents
Verify that all items are present and undamaged upon opening the package:

5. Installation
To install the TUXING TXF02 filter, follow these steps:
- Depressurize System: Ensure your air compressor or pump system is completely depressurized and turned off before beginning installation.
- Identify Connection Points: Determine the appropriate location in your air hose line to install the filter. It is typically placed between the compressor/pump and the device being filled (e.g., air tank, PCP rifle).
- Connect Filter: Securely attach the inlet side of the filter to the output hose of your compressor/pump and the outlet side to the hose leading to your device. Use appropriate high-pressure fittings and ensure all connections are tightened to prevent leaks.
- Check for Leaks: Slowly pressurize the system and carefully check all connections for any air leaks using a soapy water solution. If bubbles appear, depressurize the system and re-tighten the connections.
6. Operation
Once properly installed, the TUXING TXF02 filter operates passively to clean the compressed air. As air passes through the filter housing, the cotton filter elements trap particulate matter, oil, and moisture. The filter requires no active user input during operation, but regular maintenance is crucial for its effectiveness.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance, including the replacement of filter elements and O-rings, is essential to maintain the filter's efficiency and prevent contamination of your air supply.
7.1 Replacing Filter Elements and O-rings
- Depressurize System: Ensure the entire air system is fully depressurized before attempting any maintenance.
- Disassemble Filter: Carefully unscrew the filter housing components. Refer to the product diagram if available for specific disassembly instructions.
- Remove Old Components: Remove the used cotton filter elements and any worn O-rings. Dispose of them responsibly.
- Clean Housing: Inspect the inside of the filter housing for any debris or residue. Clean if necessary with a lint-free cloth.
- Install New Components: Insert new cotton filter elements into the housing. Replace all O-rings with new ones from the replacement kit. Lightly lubricate new O-rings with a compatible silicone grease to ensure a good seal and prevent pinching.
- Reassemble Filter: Carefully screw the filter housing components back together, ensuring they are hand-tightened. Avoid over-tightening.
- Test for Leaks: Reconnect the filter to your air system, slowly pressurize, and check for leaks as described in the Installation section.
Recommendation: Replace filter elements and O-rings regularly, depending on usage frequency and air quality. A noticeable decrease in air flow or visible contamination on the filter elements indicates a need for replacement.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Reduced air flow through filter | Clogged filter elements | Replace filter elements (refer to Section 7.1) |
| Air leaks from filter connections | Loose connections, damaged O-rings | Tighten connections; replace O-rings (refer to Section 7.1) |
| Contaminated air after filtration | Saturated filter elements, incorrect installation | Replace filter elements; verify correct installation and O-ring placement |
