Setup
1. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge your Kobo Sage. Connect the included charging cable to the device's USB-C port and plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter or computer USB port. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.
2. Powering On/Off
To power on, press and hold the power button located on the side of the device until the screen activates. To power off, press and hold the power button until the power-off prompt appears, then select 'Power Off'. A short press will put the device to sleep.
3. Connecting to Wi-Fi
Upon first startup, you will be guided through the initial setup process, which includes connecting to a Wi-Fi network. Select your desired network from the list and enter the password if prompted. A stable Wi-Fi connection is required for accessing the Kobo eBookstore, syncing content, and software updates.
4. Account Setup
After connecting to Wi-Fi, you will be prompted to sign in with your Kobo account or create a new one. This account is essential for purchasing eBooks, accessing your library, and utilizing cloud services like Dropbox integration.

Waterproof Design
The Kobo Sage's waterproof design allows for worry-free reading in various environments, including the bath or by the pool.
The Kobo Sage is designed to be fully waterproof, meeting the requirements of IPX8 rating. This means it can be submerged in up to 2 meters of water for up to 60 minutes, making it suitable for reading in the bath, by the pool, or at the beach.

Cleaning the Device

Battery Care
