3. Setup

3.1 Fueling the Torch

The torch is shipped without butane gas. You will need to purchase a separate canister of high-quality butane gas with a long nozzle.

  1. Ensure the torch is turned off and the safety lock is engaged.
  2. Hold the torch upside down.
  3. Insert the nozzle of the butane gas canister vertically into the filling valve at the bottom of the torch.
  4. Press down firmly for approximately 5-10 seconds. You may hear a hissing sound, which is normal.
  5. Repeat the process 2-3 times, allowing a few seconds between each refill to equalize pressure. Do not overfill.
  6. After filling, wait a few minutes for the gas to stabilize before attempting to ignite the torch.

Warning: Do not attempt to ignite the torch immediately after filling. Residual gas may escape, causing a flare-up.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Ignition

  1. Ensure the torch is adequately fueled.
  2. Disengage the safety lock (if applicable, typically a switch or button).
  3. Press the ignition button. A flame should appear instantly.

  • Turn the knob clockwise to decrease the flame size and counter-clockwise to increase it.

  • To engage the safety lock: After igniting the torch and while the ignition button is pressed, slide the safety lock switch to the 'Lock' position. You can then release the ignition button, and the flame will remain active.
  • To disengage the safety lock: Slide the safety lock switch back to the 'Unlock' position. The flame will extinguish.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Allow the torch to cool completely before cleaning.

  • Wipe the exterior of the torch with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
  • Ensure no water enters the gas valve or ignition mechanism.

5.2 Storage

Store the torch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure the safety lock is engaged and the torch is completely empty of gas if storing for extended periods.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Torch not igniting:
    • Check if the torch is sufficiently filled with butane gas.
    • Ensure the safety lock is disengaged.
    • Verify that the ignition mechanism is clean and free from debris.
  • Weak or inconsistent flame:
    • Refill the torch with butane gas.
    • Adjust the flame regulator to increase flame intensity.
    • Ensure the butane gas used is of high quality. Low-quality gas can cause poor performance.
  • Gas leakage:
    • If you detect a gas leak (hissing sound, smell of gas), immediately move the torch to a well-ventilated area away from ignition sources.
    • Do not attempt to use the torch. Contact customer support.
