2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the solar panel is placed in an area receiving maximum direct sunlight for optimal charging.
  • Do not attempt to open or modify the solar panel or light bulbs.
  • Keep the solar panel and connections dry. While the lights are waterproof, proper installation helps prevent damage.
  • Handle bulbs with care, even though they are shatterproof.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

5. Setup Instructions

  1. Charge the Solar Panel: Before initial use, ensure the solar panel receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. This will fully charge the internal battery.
  2. Choose Solar Panel Location: Select a location that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day. The solar panel can be installed using the included ground stake or clip.
  3. Install Solar Panel:
    • Using Ground Stake: Attach the solar panel to the stake and firmly insert the stake into the ground.
    • Using Clip: Attach the solar panel to the clip and secure it to a suitable surface like a pergola, fence, or railing.
  4. Connect String Lights: Connect the string light cable to the solar panel. Ensure the connection is secure.
  5. String the Lights: Carefully uncoil the string lights. Use the built-in rings above each bulb to hang them. You can use guidewires or hooks (not included) for a straight-line look or allow them to drape for a scalloped appearance.
  6. Position Lights: Arrange the lights in your desired outdoor area, such as patios, gazebos, fences, or pergolas.

6. Operating Instructions

  • Automatic Operation: The lights are designed to turn on automatically at dusk and turn off at dawn, provided the solar panel has received sufficient charge during the day.
  • Using the Remote Control:
    • ON/OFF: Press the 'ON' button to manually turn the lights on, or 'OFF' to turn them off.
    • Brightness Settings: Use the designated buttons (e.g., '2H', '4H' or other symbols for brightness levels) on the remote to cycle through available brightness settings.

7. Maintenance

8. Troubleshooting

  • Lights Not Turning On:
    • Ensure the solar panel is receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
    • Check that the solar panel is connected securely to the light string.
    • Verify the ON/OFF switch on the solar panel is in the 'ON' position.
    • Confirm it is dark enough for the automatic sensor to activate.
  • Lights Are Dim or Short-Lived:
    • The solar panel may not be receiving enough sunlight. Relocate it to a sunnier spot.
    • Clean the solar panel surface to remove any obstructions.
    • The battery may not be fully charged. Allow more time for charging.
    • Ensure no external light sources are shining directly on the solar panel at night, which could prevent the lights from activating.
  • Individual Bulbs Not Working:
    • Check if the bulb is securely screwed into its socket.
    • Replace the non-functioning bulb with a new one.
