2. Setup and Assembly

2.1. Component Identification

Familiarize yourself with the flashlight's components before assembly.

2.2. Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight.
  2. Insert the provided rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries into the battery barrel, ensuring correct polarity (positive (+) end towards the head of the flashlight).
  3. Screw the tail cap back on securely.
  4. To charge the batteries, use the included USB charger. Connect the charger to a USB power source and insert the batteries. The charger will indicate when charging is complete.

2.3. Mounting the Flashlight

The kit includes options for mounting the flashlight to a rail or scope.

  1. Picatinny Rail Mount: Attach the Picatinny rail mount to your firearm's rail. Secure the flashlight into the mount using the provided screws.
  2. Scope Mount: Use the scope mount to attach the flashlight to your rifle scope. Ensure the mount is tightened securely to prevent movement during use.

2.4. Attaching the Pressure Switch

The pressure switch allows for momentary activation of the flashlight, useful for quick bursts of light during hunting.

  1. Unscrew the standard tail cap of the flashlight.
  2. Screw on the pressure switch in place of the tail cap.
  3. Position the pressure pad in a convenient location for easy access during operation.

3. Operation

3.1. Powering On/Off

  • Standard Tail Cap Switch: Press the button on the tail cap to turn the flashlight on or off. This provides a constant on/off function.
  • Pressure Switch: When the pressure switch is installed, press and hold the pressure pad for momentary light. Release to turn off. Some pressure switches may also have a constant on/off button.

3.2. Light Mode

The VASTFIRE Green Hunting Flashlight operates in a single mode, providing consistent full brightness. There are no adjustable brightness levels or strobe functions.

3.3. Hunting Application

The green light emitted by this flashlight is specifically chosen for hunting as it is less likely to spook animals compared to white light. It allows for clear visibility of targets up to 500 yards, making it ideal for spotting hogs, rabbits, coyotes, and other game in low-light conditions.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Cleaning

  • Wipe the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.
  • For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and solution to avoid scratches.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or internal components.

4.2. Battery Care

  • Recharge batteries regularly, especially if the flashlight is not used for extended periods.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • If the flashlight will not be used for a long time, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

4.3. Water Resistance

The flashlight has an IPX6 water resistance rating, meaning it is protected against powerful water jets. It can be used in heavy rain or snowy conditions but should not be submerged in water.

5. Troubleshooting
