1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your ALTSON Photography Video Lighting Kit, Model XK-70D. 3. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to assemble and prepare your lighting kit for use.
3.1. Assembling the Tripod Stand
- Unfold the legs of the tripod stand until they are fully extended and stable.
- Loosen the screw knobs on the tripod stand to extend the central pole to your desired height.
- Tighten the screw knobs securely to prevent the pole from slipping. The stand can extend up to 52 inches (132 cm) and fold down to 16.5 inches (42 cm).

3.2. Attaching the LED Light Panel
- Locate the 1/4"-20 thread on top of the tripod stand.
- Screw the LED light panel onto the 1/4"-20 thread until it is firmly attached.
- The light panel features a 360° ball head gimbal, allowing you to rotate the light panel angle up to 180°. Adjust as needed.

3.3. Connecting Power
The LED light panels are powered via USB. Connect the integrated USB power cable to a compatible 5V, 2A DC power source.

3.4. Applying Color Filters
To create different lighting effects, slide one of the provided color filters into the slot on the front of the LED light panel.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Power On/Off and Brightness Adjustment
Each LED light panel has an inline controller on its USB cable for power and brightness adjustments.
- Power Button: Press the central button to turn the light ON or OFF.
- Brightness Up: Press the '+' button to increase brightness.
- Brightness Down: Press the '-' button to decrease brightness.
The brightness can be adjusted from 10% to 100% across 10 levels. The light features a 5600K color temperature and a high CRI of 95+ for accurate color rendering.

4.2. Using Color Filters
The kit includes 18 color filters (9 colors, 2 of each) to create various lighting moods and effects. Simply slide the desired filter into the front slot of the LED light panel.

5. Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will extend the lifespan of your lighting kit.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the LED panels and tripod stands. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use, fold the tripod stands and store the components in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Heat Dissipation: The LED light panel is designed with a patterned back for efficient heat dissipation. Ensure adequate airflow around the unit during operation.

6. Troubleshooting

- Light does not turn on:
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the light panel and a power source.
- Verify that the power source is providing 5V, 2A DC power. Try a different USB port or power adapter.
- Press the power button on the inline controller.
- Insufficient brightness:
- Increase the brightness using the '+' button on the inline controller.
