Installation Instructions
Follow these steps carefully to install the Acogedor CPU Cooler onto your AMD EPYC 7000 series processor with an SP3 socket.
- Prepare Radiator: Before installation, ensure the radiator is correctly aligned with the flowing direction of the system cooling air.
- Adjust Mounting Screw: Adjust the position of the radiator mounting screw according to the required air flowing direction. Ensure it aligns with the relevant nut bracket so that the radiator can be installed on the stiffening frame.
- Thermal Interface Material (TIM): Remove the thermal interface material (TIM) or thermal grease protective cover. The required amount of TIM has been pre-applied on the bottom of the heatsink. Check the pre-coated TIM for damage.
- Position Heatsink: Place the heatsink directly on top of the CPU. The four heatsink mounting studs or nut brackets should align with the slot reinforcement frame and be fixed on them. Ensure the radiator is correctly aligned with the flowing direction of the system cooling air. Note: When tightening the four radiator mounting screws, do not install the radiator cooling fan on the radiator body.
- Tighten Screws (Initial): Use a screwdriver with a Star T20 drill bit and adjust the torsion setting of the screwdriver to 16.1 kgf-cm (14.0 lbf-in). Before opening the screwdriver, ensure the screwdriver bit is fully inserted into the hole of the heatsink mounting screw head. During the installation process, keep the heatsink mounting screws vertical.
- Tighten Screws (Final): Tighten the two diagonal radiator mounting screws, rotating the screws 1 to 2 turns until they fit snugly. Do not tighten completely yet. Repeat this process for the remaining two diagonal heatsink mounting screws.
- Secure Radiator: Confirm that the bottom of the radiator is correctly placed on the CPU and prevents the radiator from vibrating. Fully tighten all four heatsink mounting screws to complete the installation.
- Install Cooling Fan and Bracket: Install the radiator cooling fan and bracket assembly to the radiator body, then tighten the single locking screw on the top of the fan bracket.
- Connect Fan Connector: Connect the SNK-P0064AP4 cooling fan connector to the fan header marked "CPU" on the motherboard.

Operating Instructions
Once properly installed, the Acogedor CPU Cooler operates automatically. The 4-pin connector allows the motherboard to control the fan speed based on CPU temperature, ensuring optimal cooling and noise levels.
- The fan will adjust its speed up to 3800 RPM as needed to maintain CPU temperature.
- The noise level is rated at 38 Decibels, providing quiet operation under normal loads.
- Ensure your system's BIOS/UEFI settings are configured to allow for proper fan speed control (e.g., PWM mode enabled for the CPU fan header).
Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your CPU cooler.
- Dust Removal: Periodically inspect the heatsink fins and fan blades for dust accumulation. Use compressed air or a soft brush to gently remove dust. Ensure the system is powered off before cleaning.
- Fan Inspection: Check the fan for any obstructions or unusual noises. If the fan is making excessive noise or not spinning, refer to the troubleshooting section.
- Thermal Paste: The thermal paste typically lasts for several years. If you notice a significant increase in CPU temperatures over time, consider reapplying new thermal paste. This requires carefully removing the cooler, cleaning old paste, and applying new paste.
- Cable Connections: Ensure the 4-pin fan connector remains securely attached to the motherboard header.
