2.1 Key Features

  • Motion Sensor: Automatically detects movement to activate the light.
  • Dark Sensor: Ensures the light only activates in low-light conditions, conserving battery life.
  • Warm-White LEDs: Provides a comfortable and inviting illumination.
  • Battery Powered: Offers flexible placement without the need for power outlets.
  • Adjustable Run Time: Customize how long the light stays on after activation.
  • Permanent Function: Option for continuous illumination.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The Ansmann LED-Band is battery-powered, and batteries are included. If replacing batteries, ensure correct polarity and use alkaline batteries for optimal performance. The battery compartment is typically located on the back or side of the sensor unit.

3.2 Mounting the LED Strip

  1. Prepare the Surface: Clean the desired mounting surface thoroughly to remove dust, grease, or moisture. A clean, dry, and smooth surface ensures optimal adhesion.
  2. Peel Adhesive Backing: Carefully peel off the protective film from the adhesive backing on the LED strip.
  3. Attach the Strip: Press the LED strip firmly onto the prepared surface, working along its length to ensure full contact.

3.4 Placement Considerations

  • Position the sensor unit where it can effectively detect motion in the desired area.
  • Ensure the light sensor is not obstructed, as this will affect its ability to detect ambient light levels.
  • The LED strip can be cut at designated points (marked with a scissor icon) to fit specific lengths. Always cut only at these marked points to avoid damaging the circuit.

4. Operating Instructions

The sensor unit features controls for adjusting the light's behavior.

4.1 Day/Night Mode Switch

Locate the small switch labeled 'Tag/Nacht Modus' (Day/Night Mode) or similar. This switch controls when the light sensor is active:

  • Day Mode: The light will activate with motion regardless of ambient light.
  • Night Mode: The light will only activate with motion when the ambient light level is low (dark sensor active).

4.2 Run Time Adjustment ('TIME+')

The 'TIME+' button allows you to adjust how long the LED strip remains illuminated after motion is detected and then ceases. Pressing this button cycles through different preset durations. Refer to the markings on the sensor unit for specific time intervals.

4.3 Permanent Function

The button labeled 'Permanent Funktion' (Permanent Function) or similar allows for continuous illumination, bypassing the motion and dark sensors. Press this button to turn the light on permanently. Press it again to return to sensor-controlled operation.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the LED strip and sensor unit, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the product.

5.2 Battery Replacement

When the light output diminishes or the unit stops functioning, it is time to replace the batteries. Open the battery compartment, remove the old batteries, and insert new alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.

6. Troubleshooting
