4. Setup

4.1 Connecting the Cables

  1. Select the appropriate audio cable for your device: the 3m coiled cable with a 6.35 mm TRS plug for studio equipment or the 1.2m straight cable with a 3.5 mm TRS plug for portable devices.
  2. Insert the smaller end of the chosen cable firmly into the audio input jack located on the left earcup of the headphones.
  3. Connect the larger end of the cable to the audio output of your source device (e.g., DJ mixer, audio interface, smartphone).

4.2 Wearing the Headphones

  1. Adjust the headband to ensure the earcups sit comfortably and securely over your ears, fully enclosing them.
  2. The circumaural design and soft ear cushions are designed for optimal comfort and sound isolation. Ensure a good seal around your ears for the best audio experience and external sound attenuation.

5. Operating

5.1 Basic Operation

Once connected to an audio source, the Ultrasone Signature Pulse headphones will reproduce audio. Adjust the volume directly from your audio source device.

5.2 SLogic3 Natural Surround Sound Technology

The Signature Pulse features Ultrasone's patented SLogic3 technology. This system positions the sound transducers not in the center of the earcups, but slightly offset and angled downwards. This design directs sound to the outer ear first, creating a wide stereo image without the typical "in-head" localization. This reduces listening fatigue during long sessions.

5.3 DDF (Double Deflector Fin) Technology

As part of SLogic3, the DDF technology incorporates a small red deflector segment at the upper edge of the converter. While upper mids and highs are largely unaffected, deep mids and bass frequencies are subtly redirected. This creates an impressively spacious, almost holographic soundstage with unique detail reproduction.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning Ear Cushions: The ear cushions can be gently wiped with a slightly damp cloth. Ensure they are completely dry before use. Replace ear cushions if they show signs of wear or damage using the provided spare pair.
  • Cleaning Headband and Earcups: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the headband and earcups. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Cable Care: Handle cables carefully. Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling. Store cables neatly when not in use.
  • Storage: Always store your headphones in the high-quality transport case when not in use to protect them from dust, dirt, and physical damage.
