1. Important Safety Information
Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate, or install the product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, serious injury, or property damage.
- Non-Submersible: This pump is non-submersible. Keep the motor dry at all times. Do not wash the motor. Do not immerse the pump in water. Immersion will damage the pump and void the warranty.
- Electrical Safety: Always connect the pump to a properly grounded outlet. Do not use with extension cords that are not rated for outdoor use or the current draw of the pump. Never operate the pump with a damaged power cord or plug.
- Flammable Liquids: DANGER: DO NOT PUMP FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS. This pump is designed for water transfer only. Pumping flammable liquids such as gasoline, fuel oil, or solvents can cause an explosion or fire.
- Run Dry Protection: Avoid running the pump dry. Ensure there is always water flowing through the pump during operation to prevent damage to the impeller.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the pump and any water being transferred during operation.
2. Product Overview
The Prostormer 1/10HP 120V Mini Portable Electric Water Transfer Pump is designed for efficient water transfer in various applications. Its compact size and robust construction make it suitable for draining pools, ponds, gardens, flooded cellars, aquariums, and for irrigation purposes.
Components Included:
- 1 x PROSTORMER Utility Pump
- 1 x 71'' Water Hose
- 1 x Water Suction Attachment
- 1 x Impeller
- 1 x Gasket
- 2 x Replacement Brushes

3. Setup and Installation
Before First Use:
- Inspect the pump for any damage that may have occurred during shipping.
- Ensure all included components are present.
- Place the pump on a stable, flat, and dry surface, away from the water source.
Connecting Hoses:
- Attach the provided 71-inch water hose to the inlet port of the pump. The inlet port is typically marked with an arrow pointing towards the pump.
- Connect the water suction attachment to the other end of the inlet hose. Ensure the suction attachment lies flat on the ground or surface of the water source to prevent air intake.
- Attach a standard garden hose (not included, unless using the provided 71-inch hose as the discharge) to the outlet port of the pump. The outlet port is marked with an arrow pointing away from the pump. Direct the discharge hose to the desired drainage area.
Priming the Pump:
This pump is a self-priming design, but for optimal performance and to prevent damage, it is recommended to prime the pump before initial use or if it has run dry.
- Before connecting the discharge hose, pour clean water into the outlet port until the pump housing is full. This lubricates the impeller and helps initiate water flow.
- Quickly connect the discharge hose after priming.
- Ensure the suction attachment is fully submerged in the water source.

4. Operating Instructions
General Operation:
- Once hoses are securely connected and the pump is primed (if necessary), plug the pump into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. The pump will start immediately as there is no on/off switch.
- Monitor the water flow and ensure the suction attachment remains submerged to prevent the pump from running dry.
- When finished, unplug the pump from the electrical outlet.
Important Operating Notes:
- Do not run the pump dry for more than 15 seconds, as this can cause severe damage to the impeller and motor.
- The pump is designed for intermittent use. Allow the pump to cool down after extended periods of operation.
- Always ensure proper ventilation around the motor during operation.

5. Maintenance
Cleaning:
- After each use, flush the pump with clean water to remove any debris or sediment.
- Wipe down the exterior of the pump with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Storage:
- Store the pump in a dry, frost-free location when not in use.
- Disconnect all hoses and drain any remaining water from the pump before storage.
Replacing Components:
Periodically inspect the impeller and gasket for wear. Replacement parts are included with your pump.
- Unplug the pump from the power source.
- Remove the face plate screws to access the impeller and gasket.
- Carefully remove the old impeller and gasket.
- Install the new gasket and impeller, ensuring they are correctly seated.
- Reattach the face plate and tighten the screws securely.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your pump, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump does not start | No power; clogged impeller; damaged motor. | Check power connection; inspect and clear impeller; contact support if motor is damaged. |
| Low or no water flow | Pump not primed; air leak in suction line; clogged intake; kinked hose. | Re-prime the pump; check all connections for tightness; clear intake; straighten hoses. |
| Pump runs but no water is discharged | Pump is running dry; suction attachment not submerged; impeller worn. | Ensure continuous water supply; submerge suction attachment; replace impeller. |
| Excessive noise or vibration | Air in the system; pump not stable; foreign object in impeller. | Check for air leaks and re-prime; ensure pump is on a flat surface; inspect and clear impeller. |
