4. Setup and Installation

The Hooke Road JL Security Deck Enclosure features a bolt-on design that utilizes existing factory holes, eliminating the need for drilling. All necessary mounting hardware is included.

4.1. Pre-Installation Notes

• Ensure your vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
• Gather all tools required (e.g., socket wrench set, Allen keys).
• It is recommended to have a second person assist with the installation due to the size and weight of some components.
• If you have a factory subwoofer, this product is not compatible without significant modification.
• Remove the security cover before installing or removing the hardtop.

4.2. Installation Steps (General Guidance)

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Accessing Cargo

• To access the enclosed cargo area, open your Jeep's tailgate.
• The top lid of the enclosure will hinge open and remain in an upright position, providing clear access to your stored items.
• When the tailgate is closed and locked, the enclosure is also secured, protecting your cargo.

5.2. Utilizing Tie-Down Points

• The enclosure features 10 integrated D-ring tie-down points.
• Use these points with ropes, straps, or bungee cords (not included) to secure items both on top of the enclosure lid and within the enclosed storage space.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe down the enclosure with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the powder coat finish.
• Inspection: Periodically check all bolts and fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
• Corrosion Prevention: The textured black powder coat provides corrosion resistance. If any scratches or chips occur, touch up with appropriate paint to prevent rust.
