5. Setup

5.1 Assembly

  1. Attach Casters: Invert the collection tank and insert the caster feet into the designated slots on the bottom of the tank. Push firmly until they click into place.
  2. Secure Power Head: Place the power head onto the collection tank, aligning the latches. Press down firmly until the latches engage and secure the power head.
  3. Connect Hose: Insert the larger end of the hose into the vacuum port on the collection tank. Twist to secure if applicable.

5.2 Filter Installation

The Vacmaster VBVB1223PF uses different filters for wet and dry vacuuming. Ensure the correct filter is installed for your task.

For Dry Vacuuming: Cartridge Filter

  1. Ensure the power head is detached from the collection tank.
  2. Slide the cartridge filter over the filter cage inside the power head.
  3. Secure the filter with the filter cap by twisting it clockwise until tight.
  4. Note: Do not use the foam filter for dry vacuuming.

For Wet Vacuuming: Foam Wet Filter

  1. Remove the cartridge filter and filter cap if installed.
  2. Slide the foam wet filter over the filter cage inside the power head.
  3. Note: Do not use the cartridge filter for wet vacuuming.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Dry Vacuuming

  1. Ensure the cartridge filter is properly installed (refer to Section 5.2).
  2. Attach the desired accessory (e.g., Floor Brush, Crevice Tool) to the end of the hose or extension wands.
  3. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
  4. Turn the On/Off switch to the "ON" position.
  5. Begin vacuuming dry debris.
  6. When finished, turn the On/Off switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit.

6.2 Wet Vacuuming

When wet vacuuming, the foam filter must be used. The cartridge filter should be removed.

  1. Ensure the foam wet filter is properly installed and the cartridge filter is removed (refer to Section 5.2).
  2. Attach the Floor Brush / Squeegee Nozzle or other appropriate accessory to the hose.
  3. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
  4. Turn the On/Off switch to the "ON" position.
  5. Begin vacuuming liquids. The float mechanism will rise and shut off suction when the tank is full.
  6. When finished, turn the On/Off switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit. Empty the collection tank immediately after wet vacuuming.

6.3 Blower Function

The Vacmaster VBVB1223PF features a detachable power head that can be used as a powerful blower.

  1. Ensure the unit is unplugged.
  2. Press the Blower Release Button and lift the power head off the collection tank.
  3. Insert the hose into the Blower Port on the power head.
  4. Attach the Blower Tube to the end of the hose for directed airflow.
  5. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
  6. Turn the On/Off switch to the "ON" position to activate the blower.
  7. When finished, turn the On/Off switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit.

Wipe down the hose and accessories with a damp cloth as needed. For stubborn dirt, they can be rinsed with water and allowed to air dry completely before storage.
