2. Safety Information

Your safety and the security of your firearms are paramount. Please read and adhere to all safety guidelines.

• DOJ Certified: This gun safe meets the stringent safety standards of the California Department of Justice, ensuring robust protection against unauthorized access.
• Pry-Resistant Construction: The safe features a whole-body pry-resistant design with a lid edge that overlaps the interior box, preventing tool penetration. The construction utilizes 1.5 mm alloy steel for the box and 3 mm for the door sheet, with reinforcing steel on the sides.
• Child Safety: Always store firearms securely in the safe to prevent access by children and unauthorized individuals.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the inside of the safe door or a designated panel.
2. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Close the battery compartment securely.

4.2 Fingerprint Registration

The safe can store up to 100 unique fingerprints for quick access.

1. Press the fingerprint set button. The indicator light will turn blue with two beeps.
2. Place your finger (part 1) fully on the scanner. Success is indicated by one beep and the indicator light remaining blue.
3. Repeat step 2 for part 2 of your finger.
4. Repeat step 2 for part 3 of your finger.
5. Repeat step 2 for part 4 of your finger.
6. After the fourth successful scan, fully cover the scanner with your finger. A long beep and a green indicator light confirm successful fingerprint registration.

4.3 Digital Keypad Setup

You can set a 3 to 8-digit password for keypad access.

2. Choose a memorable but secure code.
3. Test the new code multiple times to ensure it is correctly programmed.

4.4 Key Access

Two spare keys are provided for traditional access. These keys can be used as a backup in case of battery failure or if you forget your codes/fingerprints.

5. Operation

5.1 Opening the Safe

• Fingerprint: Place a registered finger on the biometric scanner. The safe will unlock within 0.1 seconds if the fingerprint is recognized.
• Digital Keypad: Enter your programmed 3-8 digit password on the electronic keypad.
• Key: Insert one of the backup keys into the keyhole and turn to unlock.

5.2 Silent Mode

The safe features separate switches to turn off light and sound indicators. This allows for discreet access in emergency situations and helps conserve battery power.

5.3 Low Battery Warning

The safe is equipped with a low battery warning system. When batteries are low, the indicator light will signal, prompting you to replace them. Always replace all 4 AA batteries simultaneously to ensure optimal performance.

6. Installation and Placement

The compact size of the SOULYI gun safe allows for versatile placement in various locations, including offices, bedrooms, closets, under car seats, or bedside tables. To enhance security, use the provided steel security cable.

• Security Cable: Loop the high-strength steel security cable around a solid, immovable object (e.g., car seat frame, bed frame) and secure it to the safe. This prevents the safe from being easily removed.
• Optimal Placement: Choose a location that is discreet and easily accessible to authorized users, but out of reach and sight of children.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the safe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the low battery warning is activated. Use only new AA alkaline batteries.
• Key Storage: Store backup keys in a secure location away from the safe and out of reach of unauthorized individuals.

8. Troubleshooting

• Fingerprint Reader Not Responding: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Try re-registering your fingerprint if issues persist. If the reader consistently fails, try using a different registered finger or the digital keypad/key.
• Safe Not Opening with Registered Fingerprint: Ensure full contact of the finger with the scanner. If multiple attempts fail, the safe may lock out for a short period. Use the digital keypad or backup key.
