4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation and Charging
The chainsaw operates on 20V 2.0Ah lithium-ion batteries. Two batteries are included for extended use.
- Charging: Connect the charger to a power outlet and insert the battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.
- Installation: To install the battery, align it with the battery slot on the chainsaw handle. Press the green button on the battery and slide it firmly into place until it clicks.
- Removal: To remove, press the green button on the battery and slide it out.

4.2. Chain and Guide Bar Assembly
The KIMO QM-9511B features a tool-free chain replacement system.
- Remove Sprocket Cover: Turn the fixing knob counter-clockwise to loosen and remove the sprocket cover.
- Install Chain and Guide Bar: Carefully place the chain around the sprocket and guide bar, ensuring the cutting teeth are facing the correct direction (refer to Image 4.2).
- Reattach Sprocket Cover: Place the sprocket cover back and tighten the fixing knob clockwise.
