4.1 Headset Installation
- Mounting the Main Unit: Securely attach the main headset unit to the side of your helmet using the provided clamp or adhesive tape. Ensure it is positioned for easy access to the buttons.
- Speaker Placement: Install the Harman Kardon speakers inside your helmet's ear pockets. Use the thick speaker pads if needed to ensure the speakers are close to your ears for the best audio experience.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Center Button and the (+) Button for 1 second.
- Power Off: Tap the Center Button and the (-) Button simultaneously.
5.2 Bluetooth Pairing
The Sena 50R supports Bluetooth 5 for stable connections to your smartphone, GPS, or other Bluetooth devices.
- Phone Pairing: In the Sena Motorcycles App, navigate to the phone pairing menu or enter phone pairing mode manually by holding the Center Button for 5 seconds when the headset is off. Select "Sena 50R" from your phone's Bluetooth device list.
- GPS Pairing: Follow similar steps as phone pairing, typically using the "Second Mobile Phone Pairing" or "GPS Pairing" option in the app or manual mode.
5.3 Mesh Intercom
The 50R offers two Mesh Intercom modes: Open Mesh and Group Mesh.
- Open Mesh: Press the Mesh Intercom Button to enter Open Mesh. This allows communication with virtually unlimited users within range on the same channel. You can switch between 9 channels using the Sena Motorcycles App or voice commands.
- Group Mesh: Create a private group for up to 24 participants. To create a Group Mesh, all participants must be in Open Mesh. Press and hold the Mesh Intercom Button for 5 seconds on one headset to initiate Group Mesh creation, then have other participants join.
5.4 Music Playback
- Play/Pause: Press the Center Button.
- Next Track: Press the (+) Button.
- Previous Track: Press the (-) Button.
- Volume Adjustment: Rotate the Jog Dial (if applicable, or use the (+) and (-) buttons for 3-button models).
Utilize the Sena Motorcycles App to access 5 audio equalizers (Music Balance, Music Enhanced, Voice, Bass Boost, Treble Boost) tuned by Harman Kardon for a personalized listening experience.
