- Ensure the power supply matches the vacuum cleaner's specifications (220V).
- Do not operate the appliance with a damaged power cord or plug. Contact qualified personnel for repairs.
- Keep children and pets away from the appliance during operation.
- Always unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet before cleaning, maintenance, or when not in use.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Preparation
- Verify that the ash to be cleaned is completely cold. Wait at least 24 hours after a fire has extinguished.
- Ensure the HEPA filter is clean and properly installed.
- Plug the power cable into a suitable 220V power outlet.
5.2. Suction Function
- Turn on the vacuum cleaner using the power switch, typically located on the top of the unit.
- Direct the flat nozzle towards the cold ash and begin vacuuming.
- Move the nozzle slowly and steadily to ensure thorough cleaning.
5.3. Blowing Function
The Qlima ASZ 2020 also features a blowing function:
- Unplug the vacuum cleaner.
- Disconnect the hose from the suction inlet.
- Connect the hose to the blowing outlet, usually located on the top or side of the motor unit.
- Plug in the vacuum cleaner and turn it on. Use the blowing function to clear debris from hard-to-reach areas.
5.4. Emptying the Collection Tank
- Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet.
- Unlatch the clips securing the top motor unit to the collection tank.
- Carefully lift the motor unit off the tank.
- Empty the ash from the collection tank into a suitable, fire-resistant container.
- Clean the inside of the tank if necessary.
- Reassemble the unit, ensuring the filter is correctly positioned and the clips are securely fastened.
6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning the HEPA Filter
- Regularly check the HEPA filter for ash buildup. A clogged filter significantly reduces suction power.
- Remove the filter from the unit.
- Tap the filter gently over a waste bin to dislodge loose ash. For thorough cleaning, wash the filter with cold water.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before re-installing it. Do not use the vacuum cleaner with a wet filter.
6.2. Cleaning the Collection Tank
- Wipe the inside and outside of the collection tank with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure the tank is completely dry before reassembling the vacuum cleaner.
6.3. Storage
- Store the vacuum cleaner in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Ensure the power cord is neatly wrapped to prevent damage.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1. No Power
- Check if the power cord is securely plugged into the outlet.
- Verify the power outlet is functional by testing it with another appliance.
- Check the power switch on the unit to ensure it is in the 'ON' position.
7.2. Low Suction Power
- Check if the collection tank is full and needs emptying.
- Inspect the HEPA filter for clogging and clean it as described in the Maintenance section.
- Ensure the hose and nozzle are free from blockages.
- Verify all connections (hose to unit, nozzle to hose) are secure.
7.3. Unusual Noise
- Turn off the unit immediately and unplug it.
- Check for any foreign objects inside the hose or tank.
- If the noise persists after checking, contact customer support.
