Setup and Installation
1. Preparation
Before beginning installation, ensure the main water supply is turned off. Familiarize yourself with all components included in the package and review the detailed installation instructions provided in the manual. Required Tools:
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Adjustable spanner
- 17 mm spanner
- 19 mm spanner (or the provided installation tool)
2. Faucet Installation
- Slide the O-ring over the hoses to prevent water leakage between the tap and the wash basin. Ensure the O-ring is correctly positioned and the tap covers the tap hole completely.
- Carefully insert the tap into the basin hole.
- From underneath the wash basin, prepare the counter-screw. Slightly pre-tighten the two fixing screws for easier installation.
- Place the washer on the screw connection, followed by the seal, ensuring the correct sequence.
- Screw the assembly onto the fastening bolt underneath the wash basin. Manually tighten the two screws until the tap is stable and no longer twists on the wash basin. Avoid over-tightening to prevent damage.

3. Hose Connections
- Connect the pull-out hose with the short hose on the tap. An integrated seal is already present. Hand-tighten first, then use a spanner for a secure connection.
- Connect the flexible connection hoses to the angle valves. These hoses also have integrated seals. The right-hand hose (marked red) is for hot water and connects to the left angle valve. The left-hand hose (marked blue) is for cold water and connects to the right angle valve.
- Place the screw connection onto the thread and hand-tighten until it stops. Then use the installation tool to tighten until the connection is secure. Ensure hoses do not become kinked or twisted during tightening.

4. Weight Installation
Screw the weight onto the upper part of the pull-out hose. This weight assists the spout in sliding back into the tap more easily. Ensure it fits correctly and is securely attached.
5. Drain Installation
Before operating the tap, install the drain. Unscrew the drain first. The foam seal remains on the drain funnel. Insert the drain through the drain hole in the wash basin. Then, place the black seal and the white sliding ring on the bottom part of the drain and screw this onto the bottom of the funnel.
6. Final Test
Slowly open both angle valves and check all connections for tightness. Allow water to run into the closed basin to confirm there are no leaks and the drain functions correctly.

Operating Instructions
The GROHE QUICKFIX Start basin mixer tap features a single lever for controlling both water flow and temperature. Move the lever up to increase flow and down to decrease it. Move the lever left for hot water and right for cold water.
The pull-out spout offers extended reach for tasks such as rinsing the basin or washing hair. The GROHE Magnetic Docking system ensures the spout retracts smoothly back into place when not in use.
The push-open pop-up waste allows for easy opening and closing of the drain with a light fingertip push.

Maintenance
