2. Product Overview

3. Setup and Installation

Before beginning installation, ensure your workspace is clean, well-lit, and free of static electricity. Use an anti-static wrist strap or frequently touch a grounded metal object.

3.1. Preparation

1. Unpack the motherboard and place it on an anti-static surface.
2. Gather necessary tools: Phillips head screwdriver, thermal paste, and your CPU, RAM, and cooler.

3.2. CPU Installation

1. Locate the LGA 1151 CPU socket. Lift the retention arm and open the CPU socket cover.
2. Carefully align the CPU with the socket, matching the gold triangle on the CPU with the triangle on the socket. Do not force the CPU into place.
3. Lower the CPU into the socket. Close the socket cover and press down the retention arm until it clicks into place.
4. Apply a small amount of thermal paste to the center of the CPU's integrated heat spreader (IHS).
5. Install the CPU cooler according to its manufacturer's instructions.

3.3. RAM Installation

1. Locate the DDR3 RAM slots. Open the clips on both ends of the slot.
2. Align the notch on the RAM module with the key in the slot.
3. Press down firmly on both ends of the RAM module until the clips snap into place.

3.4. Motherboard Mounting

1. Install the I/O shield into the rear opening of your computer case.
2. Align the motherboard with the standoffs inside the case.
3. Secure the motherboard with screws, ensuring not to overtighten.
