Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the operation and maintenance of your SMAEL 8007 Digital Sports Watch. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper use and to maximize the lifespan of your watch. The SMAEL 8007 features a dual-display (analog and digital), multiple functions including alarm, stopwatch, date, week display, and LED backlight, all housed in a durable, water-resistant design.

Watch Components and Buttons

• LIGHT Button (Top Left): Activates the LED backlight for the digital display.
• MODE Button (Bottom Left): Cycles through different digital modes (Time, Alarm, Stopwatch).
• START Button (Top Right): Used to start/stop functions in Stopwatch mode, or adjust settings in setting mode.
• RESET Button (Bottom Right): Used to reset functions in Stopwatch mode, or select items in setting mode.
• Crown (Right Side): Adjusts the analog time. Pull out to set, push in to start.

Setup and Time Setting

Setting Analog Time

1. Pull out the crown on the right side of the watch.
2. Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
3. Push the crown back in to start the analog timekeeping.

Setting Digital Time, Date, and Day

1. From the normal time display mode, press the MODE button three times to enter the time setting mode. The seconds digits will flash.
2. Press the RESET button to cycle through the settings: Seconds → Hour → Minute → Month → Date → Day of Week.
3. While a setting is flashing, use the START button to adjust the value.
4. After setting all values, press the MODE button once to return to the normal time display.
5. To toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour format, press the RESET button while the hour setting is flashing.

Operating Functions

Using the LED Backlight

Press the LIGHT button (top left) to illuminate the digital display for a few seconds, allowing for easy reading in low-light conditions.

Alarm Function

1. From the normal time display, press the MODE button once to enter Alarm mode.
2. Press the RESET button to select the hour or minute setting.
3. Use the START button to adjust the flashing hour or minute.
4. Press the MODE button to return to the normal time display.
5. To turn the alarm ON/OFF, press the START button while in Alarm mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear.
6. To activate/deactivate the hourly chime, press the RESET button while in Alarm mode. A chime icon will appear/disappear.

Stopwatch Function

1. From the normal time display, press the MODE button twice to enter Stopwatch mode.
2. Press the START button to begin timing.
3. Press the START button again to pause timing.
4. Press the RESET button to reset the stopwatch to zero.
5. To record split times, press RESET while the stopwatch is running. The display will show the split time, but the stopwatch continues to run in the background. Press RESET again to return to the running stopwatch display.
6. Press the MODE button to exit Stopwatch mode.

Dual Time Display

The watch features both analog and digital time displays. The analog time is set independently using the crown. The digital time can be set to a different time zone if desired, providing a dual time function.

Maintenance and Care

• Water Resistance (5ATM / 50m): This watch is resistant to splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water (e.g., swimming in shallow water). DO NOT press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water. Avoid hot water, steam, and diving, as this can compromise the water seals.
• Cleaning: Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals.
• Battery Replacement: The watch uses a button cell battery. When the display dims or functions become erratic, it's time to replace the battery. It is recommended to have battery replacement performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure water resistance is maintained.
• Temperature: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for extended periods.
• Impact: While shock-resistant, avoid severe impacts or dropping the watch to prevent damage.
