The Eyoyo EY-017P is an upgraded, portable 1D/2D barcode scanner designed for seamless integration with smartphones. Setup

1. Installation and Removal

The Eyoyo EY-017P scanner features a retractable bracket for easy attachment and detachment from your smartphone. It is compatible with phones ranging from 5.4 to 6.5 inches in length. For optimal installation, it is suggested to remove your phone case if its length exceeds 150mm (5.9 inches), as a thick case might hinder proper fit.

2. Bluetooth Connection

The scanner connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device before pairing.

  1. Turn on the barcode scanner. The Bluetooth signal light will flash once, indicating it's ready for pairing.
  2. On your smartphone, navigate to the Settings application.
  3. Locate and select the Bluetooth option, ensuring it is turned On.
  4. From the list of available devices, select "EY-017P" or "FSC-BarcodeScanner" to establish the connection. The Bluetooth signal light on the scanner will become solid once connected.

Operating Instructions

1. Scanning Modes and Buttons

The Eyoyo EY-017P offers flexible scanning with its three strategically placed scanning buttons, allowing for comfortable use whether you are left-handed or right-handed. You can choose to press the left, middle, or right scanning button to activate the scan function.

2. Two Ways to Use

The scanner can be used in two primary configurations:

  • As a Back-Clip Barcode Scanner: Attach the scanner directly to the back of your smartphone. This allows you to scan barcodes and view the data simultaneously on your phone's screen, streamlining workflows.
  • As a Standalone Bluetooth Barcode Scanner: The scanner can also be used independently, connecting to your phone, iPad, or computer via Bluetooth without being physically clipped to the device.

3. Decoding Ability

The Eyoyo EY-017P is equipped with an advanced CMOS sensor, enabling it to efficiently capture and decode a wide range of 1D and 2D barcodes from various surfaces, including paper and digital screens. It supports common barcode types such as UPC/EAN, Code39, Code128, QR Code, DataMatrix, PDF417, Aztec, and more. Its robust decoding capabilities allow it to read even damaged, distorted, or low-contrast barcodes.

Maintenance

Battery and Charging

The Eyoyo EY-017P is equipped with a rechargeable 1600mAh Lithium-Polymer battery. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours and provides up to 7.5 hours of continuous working time. To charge the device, use the provided USB-C cable and connect it to a suitable power source.

Cleaning and Storage

  • To clean the scanner, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
