1. Important Safety Information
Before operating the TUXING TXEDM042 air compressor, please read and understand all safety instructions. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.
- Pressure Limit: The filling pressure must not exceed 300 Bar (4500 PSI / 30 MPa). Exceeding this limit can cause equipment failure and injury.
- Temperature Monitoring: The compressor temperature should not exceed 85°C. The running time should not exceed 45 minutes continuously. Allow the unit to cool down between extended uses.
- Oil and Breathing Rod: Always ensure the breathing rod is installed and the oil cap is replaced before operation. Verify the oil level is at the red dot indicator.
- Cooling Water: Never start the compressor without a properly set up and functioning water cooling system. An external bucket with cooling water is required.
- Filter and Hose Connections: Ensure all filter and hose connections are secure and leak-free before operation.
- Silicone Oil: Due to transportation restrictions, silicone oil is not included. Users must prepare silicone oil separately for proper lubrication.

3. Setup Instructions
Proper setup is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your compressor.
3.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection
- Carefully remove the compressor and all accessories from the packaging.
- Inspect the outer packaging and the machine for any signs of damage incurred during transit. Contact customer support immediately if damage is found.
- Verify all included components are present (refer to the 'Accessory Package' in Section 5).
3.2 Oil Filling
The compressor is shipped without oil due to transportation regulations. You must add oil before first use.
- Locate the oil cap and remove it.
- Replace the oil cap with the provided breathing rod. This allows for proper ventilation during operation.
- Carefully add appropriate compressor oil (silicone oil is recommended, not included) until the oil level reaches the center of the red dot on the oil sight glass. Do not overfill.
3.3 Cooling System Setup
The compressor requires an external water cooling system.
- Prepare an external bucket (not included) filled with clean water.
- Place the included water pump into the bucket of water.
- Connect the water hoses from the compressor to the water pump, ensuring a secure connection for water circulation.
- Ensure the water pump is powered on and circulating water before starting the compressor.
3.4 Filter and Hose Connection
The compressor includes a two-stage filtration system and an additional blue oil-water filter.
- Connect the blue oil-water filter to the filling hose.
- Ensure all connections are tight and there are no leaks.
- Connect the filling hose to the tank or device you intend to fill.

4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your TUXING TXEDM042 compressor.
4.1 Pre-Operation Checklist
- Confirm the breathing rod is installed and oil level is correct.
- Ensure the water cooling system is active and circulating water.
- Verify all hose connections are secure and leak-free.
- Connect the filling hose to the target tank/device.
- Set the desired pressure on the compressor's adjustable pressure function.
4.2 Starting the Compressor
- Plug the compressor into a 110V power outlet.
- Turn on the main power switch.
- The compressor will begin to operate and fill the connected tank.
4.3 Monitoring and Auto-Stop
- Monitor the pressure gauge during operation.
- The compressor will automatically stop once the preset pressure is reached.
- Regularly check the compressor's temperature. If it approaches 85°C, stop operation and allow it to cool.
4.4 Shutting Down
- Once filling is complete and the compressor has stopped, turn off the main power switch.
- Slowly open the bleed screw to release any residual pressure in the system.
- Disconnect the filling hose from the tank/device.
- Turn off the water pump and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your compressor.
5.1 Oil Change
- It is recommended to change the compressor oil after the first few hours of use, as initial break-in can generate debris.
- Subsequent oil changes should be performed according to the manufacturer's recommendations or if the oil appears discolored.
- Drain the old oil completely and refill with fresh, appropriate compressor oil to the red dot indicator.
5.2 Filter Maintenance
- Regularly inspect the built-in filters and the external blue oil-water filter.
- Replace filter elements as needed to maintain air quality and compressor efficiency. Spare filter material is included in the accessory package.
5.3 Cooling System Maintenance
- Ensure the cooling water in the external bucket is clean. Replace water regularly.
- Check the water pump for proper function and clear any blockages.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your compressor.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Compressor does not start | No power, loose connection, main switch off | Check power cord, outlet, and main power switch. |
| Compressor runs but no pressure builds | Bleed screw open, leaks in system, faulty valve | Ensure bleed screw is closed. Check all connections for leaks. Contact support if valves are suspected. |
| Compressor overheats | Insufficient cooling water, clogged water lines, extended operation | Ensure water pump is working and water is circulating. Check water levels and clean lines. Allow compressor to cool. |
| Oil leakage | Loose fittings, damaged seals/gaskets, overfilling oil | Check and tighten all oil-related fittings. Inspect and replace damaged O-rings or gaskets. Ensure correct oil level. |
| Burst disk pops | Overpressure, faulty auto-stop, worn disk | Ensure pressure setting is correct and not exceeded. Replace burst disk with a new one. Monitor auto-stop function. |
For issues not listed here or if solutions do not resolve the problem, please contact TUXING customer support.
