1.2 Filling the Ink Tanks

The EcoTank system uses high-capacity ink tanks designed for spill-free refills. Each ink bottle has a unique key to ensure it only fits into the correct color tank.

  1. Open the ink tank unit cover on the right side of the printer.
  2. Open the cap for the ink tank you wish to fill.
  3. Uncap the corresponding ink bottle and insert it firmly into the tank's filling port. The ink will begin to flow automatically. Do not squeeze the bottle.
  4. Once the tank is full, the ink flow will stop. Remove the bottle and securely close the ink tank cap.
  5. Repeat for all colors.

Follow the on-screen prompts for these automated processes.

3.3 Paper Handling

Always use appropriate paper types and sizes for your printing needs. Avoid overfilling the paper tray. Regularly check for and remove any dust or debris from the paper path to prevent paper jams.

4. Troubleshooting

4.1 Common Issues

  • Paper Jams: If a paper jam occurs, the printer's display will show instructions. Carefully remove any jammed paper following the guide.
  • Poor Print Quality: Perform a nozzle check to identify clogged nozzles. If necessary, run a print head cleaning cycle. Ensure you are using genuine Epson ink.
  • Connectivity Problems: Verify that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network or that the Ethernet cable is securely connected. Restart your router, printer, and computer/device.
  • Printer Not Responding: Check power connections. Ensure the printer is selected as the default printer on your computer. Restart the print spooler service on Windows or reset the printing system on macOS.
