4. Operating the Dash Cam

4.1 Three-Channel Recording

The iD230 offers a wide-angle view with 170° for the front, 140° for the interior, and 150° for the rear, ensuring comprehensive coverage of your surroundings.

4.2 G-Sensor and Loop Recording

The built-in G-sensor automatically detects collisions or sudden shocks, triggering emergency recording and locking the video file to prevent overwriting. Loop recording continuously overwrites the oldest unlocked files when the MicroSD card is full. For daily use, set the G-sensor level to "low" and Loop Recording to "3 minutes" to prevent unnecessary locking of files.

4.3 24-Hour Parking Protection

When parked, the dash cam will activate and record a 30-second to 1-minute locked video upon detecting vibration or collision. For continuous 24-hour monitoring, a separate iZEEKER Hardwire Kit (sold separately) is required.

4.4 Infrared Night Vision

The interior-facing camera features 4 infrared LED lights, enabling clear capture of the driver and passengers even in completely dark cabin conditions. This ensures visibility for both day and night recordings.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Formatting the MicroSD Card

Regularly format the MicroSD card to ensure optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption. This can typically be done through the dash cam's system settings menu.

5.2 Cleaning the Dash Cam

Wipe the lenses and screen with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and smudges. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the device.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Dash Cam Not Powering On

  • Ensure the car charger is securely plugged into the vehicle's power outlet and the dash cam.
  • Check if the vehicle's power outlet is functioning correctly.
  • Verify the ignition is on, as the dash cam powers with the vehicle.

6.2 Recording Issues (e.g., not saving, corrupted files)

  • Format the MicroSD card regularly.
  • Ensure you are using a Class 10 or above MicroSD card.
  • Check the G-sensor sensitivity settings; a high setting might cause too many locked files, filling the card quickly.
