Setup and Installation
This section provides general guidance for wall-mounted installation. Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with plumbing procedures.
Tools Required (Not Included):
- Adjustable Wrench
- Plumber's Tape (Thread Seal Tape)
- Soft Cloth
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Shower Arm: Ensure the existing shower arm is clean and free of old plumber's tape. Wrap new plumber's tape clockwise around the threads of the shower arm.
- Attach the Diverter: Screw the 3-way diverter onto the shower arm. Hand-tighten first, then use an adjustable wrench to tighten an additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Do not overtighten.
- Install the Fixed Shower Head: Wrap plumber's tape around the upper outlet of the diverter. Screw the fixed shower head onto this outlet. Hand-tighten, then use a wrench for a final snug fit.
- Connect the Hose: Attach one end of the 60-inch stainless steel hose to the lower outlet of the diverter. Attach the other end of the hose to the handheld shower head. Ensure washers are properly seated in both connections. Hand-tighten both ends.
- Secure the Handheld Shower: Place the handheld shower head into the EasyDock bracket on the diverter. Ensure it is securely seated.
- Test for Leaks: Turn on the water supply and check all connections for leaks. If leaks occur, tighten the connections slightly.
Operating Instructions
3-Way Diverter:
The 3-way diverter allows you to control the water flow to the fixed shower head, the handheld shower head, or both simultaneously. Rotate the diverter lever to select your desired output.
- Position 1: Water flows only from the fixed shower head.
- Position 2: Water flows only from the handheld shower head.
- Position 3: Water flows from both the fixed and handheld shower heads.
6-Spray Settings:
Both the fixed and handheld shower heads feature 6 distinct spray settings. To change the spray pattern, rotate the spray face on each shower head clockwise or counter-clockwise until the desired setting clicks into place.
- Full Spray
- Pulse Massage
- Drenching Spray
- Full + Pulse
- Full + Drenching
- Pause (Trickle)
Pause Feature:
The pause setting reduces water flow to a trickle, allowing you to conserve water while performing tasks such as lathering, shaving, or shampooing, without completely turning off the water temperature.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Shower Heads:
- To maintain optimal spray performance, regularly clean the rubber nozzles on both shower heads. Gently rub the nozzles with your finger or a soft brush to dislodge any mineral buildup.
- For more stubborn mineral deposits, soak the shower head in a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water for several hours, then scrub and rinse thoroughly.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the chrome finish. Use only a soft cloth and mild soap for general cleaning of the exterior.
Hose Maintenance:
- Periodically check the stainless steel hose for kinks or damage.
- Clean the hose with a soft cloth and mild soap.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low Water Pressure | Mineral buildup in nozzles; partially closed water valve; low household water pressure. | Clean shower head nozzles (see Maintenance); ensure main water valve is fully open; consult a plumber if household pressure is consistently low. |
| Leaking Connections | Loose connections; insufficient plumber's tape; worn washers. | Tighten connections (do not overtighten); reapply plumber's tape; replace washers if damaged. |
| Diverter Not Switching Properly | Mineral buildup in diverter mechanism. | Attempt to flush the diverter by running hot water through it. If issue persists, contact customer support. |
