1. Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your Kozyard Apollo 12'x16' Hardtop Gazebo. This gazebo is designed to provide a durable and comfortable outdoor living space, featuring a wooden coated aluminum frame, a galvanized steel double roof, and integrated mosquito netting.
1.1 Safety Information
Important: Ensure the gazebo is securely anchored to a stable foundation. This structure is designed to withstand snow loads of up to 2500 lbs and wind speeds of up to 40 MPH when properly installed and anchored. Always follow the assembly instructions carefully to ensure proper installation and structural integrity. Do not hang heavy objects from the frame or roof that exceed the specified weight limits for hanging hooks.
1.2 Key Features
- Strong Structure: Features 4.7” x 4.7” triangular poles and 5” x 4” beams for stability.
- Metal Canopy/Roof: Galvanized steel roof with a 29-gauge thickness for durability and weather resistance.
- Gutter Design: Integrated water gutter system efficiently directs rainwater away from the frame and poles.
- Mosquito Net: Includes a mosquito net for protection against insects.
- Wood-Looking Aluminum: Aluminum frame with a wood-grain finish for aesthetic appeal.
- Spacious Design: 12ft x 16ft dimensions provide ample space for outdoor activities.
2. Setup & Assembly
Assembly of the Kozyard Apollo Gazebo is required. It is recommended to have at least two people for assembly. Refer to the detailed instruction manual included in your package for step-by-step guidance. The following tips may assist during the assembly process:
- Review Instructions: Carefully read the provided manual and consider watching official assembly videos for visual guidance on part fitting.
- Tools: While basic tools may be included, using a ratchet set or an impact driver can significantly ease the process.
- Initial Frame Assembly: Having an additional person or an extra ladder can be very helpful when setting up the main frame (legs and cross pieces).
- Roof Assembly: For the roof, install all roof supports (M, N, N1, P, and Q) before attaching the top roof panels. Ensure correct orientation of N and N1 supports, as some have extra holes for later steps.
- Z-Clips: When installing roof panels, particularly for the upper roof, insert the T supports before sliding in the panels for easier placement. For the lower roof, begin panel installation from the middle of each side and work outwards.
- Bolt Management: If you encounter a situation where a specific bolt type seems to be missing, re-check previously installed sections as some bolts may need to be temporarily removed to slot in new pieces.

3. Operation
3.1 Mosquito Netting and Curtains
The gazebo includes an integrated mosquito net to protect against insects. The double track system allows for easy installation and movement of both the mosquito net and optional privacy curtains (sold separately). The curtains are made from flame-retardant materials.

3.2 Ceiling Hooks
The gazebo roof is equipped with three hooks. These hooks can be used for hanging lightweight items such as decorative lights or a small fan. Ensure that any items hung do not exceed the weight capacity of the hooks to prevent damage or injury.
4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your gazebo.
- Cleaning the Frame: The aluminum frame with its wood-looking finish can be cleaned with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
- Roof Care: The galvanized steel roof is designed for durability. Periodically inspect the roof for any debris accumulation and clear it to ensure proper water drainage.
- Gutter System: The integrated water gutter system should be kept clear of leaves and other debris to prevent blockages and ensure efficient water runoff.
- Netting and Curtains: The mosquito net and privacy curtains can be gently cleaned according to their fabric care instructions. Store them during extreme weather conditions or off-season to prolong their lifespan.
- Hardware Inspection: Periodically check all bolts and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure. Tighten any loose hardware as needed.

5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- Water Leaking: If water leakage occurs, inspect the roof panels and connections for proper sealing. Ensure all screws are tightened and panels are correctly overlapped. Applying a silicone sealant to seams can help prevent leaks.
- Mosquito Net Hooks Detaching: If the hooks that hold the mosquito net to the corner posts come undone easily, consider using adhesive-backed Velcro strips to secure the netting more firmly to the posts.
- Difficulty with Roof Panel Installation: Ensure all roof supports are in place before attempting to install panels. For the upper roof, install T supports first. For the lower roof, start from the middle of each side and work towards the edges.
- Unstable Structure: Verify that the gazebo is securely anchored to the ground using appropriate anchors. Check all frame connections for tightness.
