  3. While holding the safety button, pull the bail switch lever towards the handle. The motor will start.
  4. Release the safety button once the motor is running.

Mowing Techniques

  • For best results, mow dry grass.
  • Overlap cutting swaths slightly to ensure even coverage.
  • Avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time.
  • When mulching, mow more frequently to avoid clumping.
  • When bagging, empty the grass catcher bag regularly to maintain optimal performance.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your lawn mower. Always remove the battery pack before performing any maintenance.

Blade Care

  • Inspect the blade regularly for sharpness and damage. A dull blade can tear grass, leading to an unhealthy lawn.
  • If the blade is dull, it can be sharpened by a qualified service technician or replaced with a genuine Ryobi replacement blade.
  • If the blade is bent or cracked, replace it immediately.

Cleaning

  • After each use, clean grass clippings from the underside of the mower deck using a brush or scraper.
  • Wipe down the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use water hoses or pressure washers directly on the mower.
  • Ensure the grass catcher bag is clean and free of debris.

Storage

  • Remove the battery pack before storing the mower.
  • Clean the mower thoroughly before long-term storage.
  • The handles can be folded for compact, vertical storage. Loosen the knobs on the handle to fold it.
  • Store the mower in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.
