2. Setup
Unpacking and Placement
Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Ensure the unit remains upright for at least 24 hours before initial use to allow the refrigerant to settle. Place the dehumidifier on a flat, stable surface in the desired area. For optimal performance, ensure there is at least 8 inches of space around the unit for proper airflow.

Drainage Options
Your HUMILABS dehumidifier offers two convenient drainage methods:
- Manual Drainage: The unit comes with a 0.528-gallon (2-liter) water tank. When the tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off and illuminate the “tank full” indicator. Simply remove the tank, empty the collected water, and reinsert it to resume operation.
- Continuous Drainage: For uninterrupted operation, connect the included 3.3-foot (100cm) drain hose to the drain pipe hole on the back of the unit. Route the hose to a suitable floor drain or larger container, ensuring the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage.

- Green: 45% ≤ Humidity ≤ 65%
- Red: Humidity > 65%
4. Maintenance
Emptying the Water Tank
When the water tank is full, the unit will automatically stop operating and emit an alert. Gently pull out the water tank from the front of the unit, empty the collected water, and slide the tank back into place until it clicks securely. The dehumidifier will then resume operation.
Cleaning the Air Filter
The dehumidifier is equipped with a removable and washable air filter located on the back air inlet. Regularly cleaning the filter (recommended every 30 days of use) helps maintain the unit's efficiency and prevents the accumulation of dust and hair.
- Gently pull out the filter from its slot.
- Wash the filter under running water or use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.

5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your dehumidifier, please refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Unit not turning on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the power button is pressed.
- Dehumidifier not collecting water: Verify that the humidity setting is lower than the current room humidity. Ensure the water tank is correctly inserted and not full. Check if the air filter is clean and not obstructed.
- "Tank Full" indicator is on, but tank is not full: Ensure the water tank is properly seated and aligned. Check for any debris or obstruction around the tank sensor.
- Unusual noise: Check if the unit is placed on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there are no obstructions around the air inlets or outlets.
